Sabrina Carpenter's exact blush combo is not what you (or the rest of the Internet) think it is

The makeup artist behind 'Espresso' has spoken

Content Producer / July 12 2024

Sabrina Carpenter wasn't kidding around in the lyrics to 'Espresso', or as we call it, the catchiest song ever released. To paraphrase them, we'll forevermore be thinking 'bout her every... time we do our makeup. Because once we saw her (semi-blush blind in the chicest way possible) blinding highlight-blush combo, we just knew we'd be following her lead.

She might be working late, because she's a singer, but we'll be working late sleuthing out every makeup product that goes into her flawless beat. Yep, we're committed to this cause, no need to plead with us. While we already know she's a major Giorgio Armani stan (and we can agree, the formulations are flawless), we suspected something was a little different when we watched (on repeat) the 'Espresso' music video. Thankfully Leah Darcy, the incredible makeup artist in question has come to our rescue to kind of reveal her secrets.

Thank goodness for Darcy. Because we needed this blush combo (yes, we're obsessed, thank you for pointing it out). To complete the rest of the stunning makeup look (which we seriously need more deets on), Darcy first took the Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint in (we believe) 'Chill' ($44 at Sephora). The gorgeous fun 'playful' blush was then followed up by another Milk Makeup pick, with the glam guru this time opting for the classic Milk Makeup Lip & Cheek Blush ($42 at Sephora) in what we can only assume is the popular shade 'Werk'.

Both of those were generously applied with a stippling brush across the cheekbones and apples. To finish, she powdered around the area, to keep the blush looking its very brightest and glossiest without steering oily. Genius! And yep, those two blushes are sitting in our cart to check out; we advise you follow suit...

So um, maybe don't mention it when you see us covered in blush, okay? We swear we know it's probably too much, and yet, here we are thinking we can look and sing just like her.
