We've unlocked Sabrina Carpenter's 'curly girl' hair routine

And it all comes from a brand you already love

Content Producer / August 19 2024

What's one thing we're always hearing here at BEAUTYcrew? Please, please, please find out Sabrina Carpenter's hair care routine. And we've done just that! But sorry to disappoint on all the bouncy, blowout secrets (although, we've heard the Dyson Airwrap and velcro rollers are key). This time round we're bringing you the, natural curly strands Carpenter has been embracing of late. The 'do was brought to us pinned up in a very Pammy messy-but-chic bun courtesy of Scott King (AKA, Carpenter's go-to stylist).

He really did "Mountain Dew it for (us)". Yep, we've got the exact products used to create the "soft and minimal" hair look.

When it comes to Carpenter, we can pretty well find out all her beauty secrets from her glam team. Her Taylor Swift co-signed red lipstick? Yep, we found it. The unexpected illuminating blush duo from the 'Espresso' music video? We know that too — and TBH have realised we're very guilty of being blush blind because of it.
But when it comes to her signature, sultry (and often imitated) strands, we just can't seem to get a full read on it. That was, of course until our saviour (and Carpenter's fave stylist) King, gave us a full peak behind the curly curtain.
For the recent Variety event Carpenter (along with King) chose to embrace and enhance her natural curl for the event, pulling it up into a "piecey updo".
To get the perfected look, King used three key curl-boosting products, starting the curl-boosting process by applying the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Curls Leave-In Treatment ($59.80 at All Beautyto damp hair. He then uses the Redken Hydrating Curl Cream ($55.02 at All Beautyto define the curls, reduce frizz and hydrate (a needed step in the diffusing process). After that he diffuses her stunning strands to almost dry, which is when he spritzes through the Redken Refreshing Curl Mist ($45 at Adore Beautyfor that added extra hydration and finished off diffusing.
Loosely pinning up the pieces to the back to create the perfect messy, soft bun, King was sure to use a small curling wand for any extra definition needed.
And there we have Sabrina Carpenter's natural take on the Pamela Anderson-inspired updo.
