Did Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift just co-sign this lipstick?
It's got to be good...
Look, we're going to admit to you something kind of embarrassing. As beauty girlies, we didn't realise quite the stir that the (now obviously iconic) Vogue World show was going to cause. But if there's a crowded room of glammed up celebs, you best bet it's got our whole attention.
For us, our attention has been hyperfixated on Sabrina Carpenter (for obvious reasons), so when the stunning singer stepped out in '40s-inspired vintage Jacquemus swimwear our gasps were *audible*. With each red candy stripe better than the next, our searches quickly turned to headscarves, Pammy-esque updos and of course, that red lip.
Sabrina Carpenter Vogue World
Any single chance we get to see Carpenter dolled up to the undoubtedly sultry nines counts as a good day. We've been taking some major beauty cues from the star over the last few years. And while her signature shining, seductive makeup (perfected by Carolina Gonzalez) does have us questioning if we're blush blind on occasion, seeing her make a fleeting step away shows her range isn't reserved for just the stage.
Sabrina Carpenter Red Lipstick
While it might not be the first time Carpenter has rocked a red lip, or even had her pillowy pout in the spotlight (Prada lip balm anyone?), it is the first time we've been left wondering 'did she pick up some Taylor Swift-approved makeup tips from the Eras Tour'? She's been known to pick up tricks from her fellow stars (and share them with us) before. And thank god she does because Reneé Rapp's lipstick hack has come in handy so many times.
And while it's definitely not an extact match for Taylor Swift's iconic red lipstick (although she's been through a few faves), it does come from the same celeb-loved brand: Pat McGrath.
Carpenter's lip look was thanks to the Pat McGrath Dramatique Mega Lip Pencil in 'Garnet Glow' ($50 at Pat McGrath). The seriously pigmented pencil offers up a velvety luxe matte finish and a slightly deeper than 'true' red wine-y tone. And you best believe we've already gone and ordered ours. Because like the other celeb-rated lipstick shades, this one is bound to sell out. Your turn!
If you catch us practicing up our lyrics (and waiting for her to drop the Aussie tour deets) and mastering the pop of red aesthetic just know it's all for the sake of our catching a glimpse of Carpenters attention.
