How does Kacey Musgraves keep her hair looking so healthy?
These are the products her hair stylist uses
If you're a Kacey Musgraves fan then you've probably been following the country singer's beauty evolution on her 'Deeper Well' tour — we certainly have.
After her makeup artist, Moani Lee, shared the details of Musgraves' matcha-inspired makeup, we had to find some more information about the secret to her silky tresses.
Lucky for us, Musgraves' hairstylist, Giovanni Delgado, was kind enough to share the products behind the singer's healthy-looking mermaid waves whilst on tour via Instagram.
How to get Kacey Musgraves' mermaid waves
To protect Musgraves' hair during the styling process Delgado lightly mists her strands with the Oribe Gold Lust Dry Heat Protection Spray ($69 from Oz Hair & Beauty). The lightweight formula creates a protective barrier, which locks in moisture and prevents breakage, without weighing the hair down. Plus, it leaves the hair looking healthy and shiny. However we probably don't need to tell you that — you've seen Musgraves' hair.
But that's not Delgado's only trick to keeping the singer's strands so healthy.
He uses a combination of Unite 7SECONDS Leave In Detangler ($35.50 from Oz Hair & Beauty) and Unite U Argan Oil ($62 from Oz Hair & Beauty) to make the hair more manageable, seal the hair cuticle, enhance shine and promote colour longevity.
The most miraculous thing about Musgraves' mermaid waves in our opinion is the complete lack of frizz and flyaways — how does she do it?
Well actually, it's all thanks to three hair styling products.
Delgado uses IGK Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Smoothing Spray ($52 from Oz Hair & Beauty) to add another layer of heat protection, but this product also smooths the hair, controls frizz and reinforces the integrity of each hair strand too.
Then he makes sure that Musgraves' strands can stand up to anything — including water and humidity — by applying the Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray ($64 from Sephora). The anti-frizz, featherweight formula leaves the hair looking super glossy, glassy, and smooth. Plus, it features humidity-resistant technology, which stops moisture from resetting your hair or creating frizz.
On the days he wants to create a bit more volume Delgado applies the Color Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer ($63 from Sephora) whilst Musgraves hair is still damp. It creates the illusion of a thicker, fuller mane without dulling shine or weighing the hair down.

Kacey Musgraves isn't the only celebrity with shiny strands we've been eyeing lately. This is the brand responsible for Jenna Ortega's glossy red carpet tresses.
