Kacey Musgraves’ fragrance collection features a scent for every mood
Including one literally designed for days of ‘mixed emotions’
When Kacey Musgraves sang that you can have your space (cowboy), she clearly wasn’t talking to her fragrance wardrobe. It looks pretty jam-packed to us, so there’s really not all that much space left!
But honestly with a collection as covetable as hers, we doubt she’ll be needing any newbies anytime soon anyway…
What perfume does Kacey Musgraves wear?
Multiple! In a dreamy snap shared to her Instagram story, the “Slow Burn” singer gave followers a glimpse into her sensory world.
Musgraves’ main collection is made up of five fragrances, housed amongst an array of “pretty little things” ranging from crystals to jewels. We’re granting her an A+ for both storage and scent selection. We just hope she soon confirms whether she layers to build something bespoke or simply wears each one solo.
Want to smell like a country superstar? Here are all the scents we spied in Musgraves’ perfume collection…
Byredo Mixed Emotions Eau de Parfum
Byredo Mixed Emotions Eau de Parfum ($239 for 50ml at MECCA) was the first fragrance on Musgraves’ scent shelf. Billed by the brand as an “androgynous, woody scent”, the full-bodied blend boasts notes of everything from blackcurrant and black tea to violet leaves and birch wood. So moody, so magical, so Musgraves!
Chanel No.5 L’Eau Eau de Toilette
Musgraves’ second scent, Chanel No.5 L’Eau Eau de Toilette ($190 for 50ml at Myer), confirms that she doesn’t mind a floral, as long as it’s on the fresher side. By mixing the creamy (vanilla, musk, and jasmine) with the zesty (lemon, orange, and bergamot), it’s a perfume that proves ‘pretty’ doesn’t have to be powdery.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge Extrait
Musgraves may seem too cool for a cult-classic cologne, but hey, when it’s as good as Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge Extrait ($561 for 70ml at MECCA), it would be cruel to let popularity count it out. A bolder, richer take on its equally beloved original, this take on Baccarat Rouge heroes saffron, cedarwood, and bitter almond. It’s stunning, but it’s definitely designed to stand out, so spritz with caution!
Maison Louis Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt Perfume Oil
Big fragrance houses and renowned cult-faves aren’t all that Musgraves likes to wear. Maison Louis Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt Perfume Oil ($89 for 15ml at Loyal Crush) is another one of her signature scents. Inspired by an ancient mysterious forest, this aroma lets amber take centre stage, with dashes of sandalwood, vetiver, and nutmeg rounding out the mix.
Marissa Zappas The Sun Card Eau de Parfum
The final fragrance rounding out Musgraves’ collection? Marissa Zappas The Sun Card Eau de Parfum ($223.95 for 15ml at Lucky Scent). Less moody than most of her faves, it’s described as a “stunning sunshiney bright floral”, playing host to hints of frangipani, sweet orange, and the almond-y aroma of heliotrope. But because Musgraves is a Texas girl through and through, it’s fitting that she’s selected a spritz that even features a finishing note of dry, warm hay. Now that’s a scent designed for a country singer!

Musgraves isn’t the only celeb with a stellar scent wardrobe. Billie Eilish has a few favourite fragrances we advise adding to cart, too…
