Sabrina Carpenter prepped her skin with a $25 moisturiser before the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party

Sabrina Carpenter took a break after her run as the opening act for Taylor Swift's Eras tour this week to attend the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party with her rumoured beau Barry Keoghan. 

You know who didn't take a break? Carpenter's makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez. 

Gonzalez prepped and painted Carpenter's face for the Gods before sending her off down the red carpet to hang out with Hollywood's A-list. 

The makeup artist created a sultry smokey cat eye look and snatched the "Feather" singer's jawline so well it looked 'sharp enough to kill a man', as Taylor Swift would say.

Gonzalez used a hoard of Giorgio Armani beauty products to achieve the final look, but the products she used to prep Carpenter's face were either insanely cheap or outlandishly expensive. To prep Carpenter's skin for her makeup, Gonzalez laid down a foundation of the Cetaphil Healthy Renew Eye Gel Serum and the Cetaphil Healthy Renew Serum, both of which are from Cetaphil's new peptide range that will (fingers crossed) be launching in Australia soon. She also used the hyaluronic acid and polyglutamic acid enriched Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Skin Replenishing Water Gel ($24.39 from Chemist Warehouse) as a lightweight hydrator and face primer. 

After applying the singer's skin care, Gonzalez whipped out the MediLift Essential Mask ($400 from MediLift) — a hands-free firming Electronic Muscle Stimulation mask that helps to sculpt and tighten the jawline in just 10 minutes.

The makeup artist then concealed and corrected Carpenter's complexion using the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Concealer in '#5.25' ($73 from Sephora) and the best-selling Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in the shades '#5.2' and '#5.8' ($105 from Sephora).

Gonzalez followed up with what is rumoured to be Hailey Bieber's favourite bronzer — the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Glow Liquid Bronzer '#90' ($77.31 from Nordstrom), which she applied across the temples, cheek bones, nose and jawline for a warm, healthy sun kissed glow. Next, she applied a healthy swathe of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Glow Blush '#11' ($61.20 (usually $72) from Adore Beauty) to the apples of Carpenter's cheeks for a summery flush, and set the singer's T-zone with the radiance-enhancing Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Glow Setting Powder '#7' ($140 from Sephora).

However, the angular smokey eye Gonzalez created for Carpenter was hands down our favourite aspect of the singer's sultry Oscars After Party makeup. The makeup artist used the Giorgio Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in '#4' ($75 from Woolworths) to line Carpenter's eyes and distinguish that elongated cat eye shape, and then she used the Giorgio Armani Eye Tint in the shades '#30m' & '#99m' ($58 from Giorgio Armani) to smoke out the liner further.

Gonzalez went for a nude lip to keep the focus on Carpenter's eye makeup — she used the Giorgio Armani Lip Power Matte in '#111' ($58.65 (usually $69) from Adore Beauty). Then she finished off the singer's eye makeup with a lick of the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara ($56.10 (usually $66) from Adore Beauty) and the Velour Lashes Classic Velour X-tensions ($46 from Sephora), which she cut and spaced on Carpenter's lash line for a custom look.
