NYFW just came through with the beauty look you’ll be wearing ALL summer long
Smoky eyes have never looked so wearable
When it comes to beauty inspiration, New York Fashion Week Spring 2020 has been delivering, and then over delivering some more. Honestly, everywhere we turn, there’s a fresh hair trend to try or a stunning new celeb beauty look to file away for future inspo.
And, Vietnamese fashion designer Cong Tri has just served not only a gorgeous new fashion collection, but also your new go-to summer glam makeup look. Check it out:
Just, wow.
That subtle smoky eye and glowed-up skin combo is an absolute winner. And, although darker, more dramatic smoky eye looks can sometimes get a bad rap for being notoriously difficult to execute and carry off on hot summer days, this pared-back version couldn’t be more wearable.
Legendary makeup artist Hung Vanngo was behind the look and used his signature smoky eye trick to create this ultra-wearable eye makeup. Instead of using black eyeliner in the waterline (as is the de rigueur for a classic smoky eye), Vanngo used a reddish-brown hue instead (Maybelline New York’s Lasting Drama Matte Eyeliner in Rusty Terracotta, to be exact). Opting for a lighter-toned eyeliner ensures the look doesn’t end up looking ‘too much’.
As for the envious skin, Vanngo achieved the perfect glowing complexion with Maybelline New York FaceStudio Master Strobing Stick Illuminating Highlighter in Medium-Nude Glow and Maybelline New York FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Molten Gold.
Considering the festive season is now just around that corner, we’d say you might want to file this bad boy away under summer beauty inspo!
