The product
Everyone knows how difficult finding the perfect nude lipstick can be. From finish to pigment and tone, discovering your Holy Grail nude is a lot easier said than done.
To help you on your hunt, Maybelline New York released the Color Sensational Matte Nudes Lip Color range, which is formulated to warm and flatter every skin tone. We sent four nude lipsticks to our Review Crew®: Purely Nude, Beige Babe, Almond Rose and Toasted Truffle.

Beauty Crew sent Maybelline New York Color Sensational Matte Nudes Lip Color lipsticks to a panel of women aged 18-24 who are looking for the perfect nude lipstick that flatters their skin tone.
The lowdown
Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about the Maybelline New York Color Sensational Matte Nudes Lip Color:
How creamy the matte formula was: Many reviewers were pleased (and surprised) at how moisturising and comfortable the lipsticks were to wear in comparison to other matte lipstick formulas they had tried in the past. Testers also commented on how smoothly each lipstick applied.
How great the shade range was: While the reviewers didn’t trial every shade in the range, each tester was still able to find a colour that suited their skin tone from the four they were sent. Additionally, many also claimed more than one shade effectively warmed and flattered their skin tone, with others saying they had now found their perfect nude.
How opaque the finishes were: Reviewers were also quick to compliment how opaque the finish of the lipsticks were. Not only did the formula ensure a pigmented finish, many testers praised how each lipstick lasted well and only subtly faded throughout the day.
Good to know: Some did mention that they received best results when they exfoliated and moisturised their lips prior to application to ensure their pout was hydrated and free from any dry flakes.
