The lowdown

The lit from within glow: TBH, times are tough, and if you've not got a tropical vacay on the cards it can seem a bit dire, especially when it comes to your post-holiday glow. Thankfully we've (along with our REVIEWcrew members) found the perfect faux getaway glow. Yep, our members found that these beautiful blush shades have an illuminating glow to them that leave your skin looking seriously fresh and totally glowy.

How buildable the colour payoff is: In our opinion there's nothing worse than dotting on a brand new blush to find out that you've applied enough to last an entire week (we're all been there). So, thankfully these glossy blushes allow you to build to your desired level of pigment. Our members found it easy to build up, and with the lightweight buildable formula it made for the perfect day to night blush.

The easy to apply formula: So, not only is the formula itself seriously easy to apply and blend, the doe-foot applicator makes the actual application process a breeze. Our members found with the wand applicator they were able to easily dot on the blush and then go in with a brush to blend it out.

The Maybelline New York Sunkisser Blush is a beautiful and very versatile product. Firstly, it is very handy to keep in my hand bag for all day touch-ups. Secondly, this blush is so easy to apply with no effort or skill, giving beautiful results and glowing complexion. Thirdly, it is a beautiful and very complementing shade. It looks good with any color scheme I decide for my make up. Applying is as easy as making dots and blending to how light or heavy as desired. Also, I use it on my eyes for lazy day makeup. Overall, I highly recommend this blush.

I tried the Maybelline New York Sunkisser Blush in shades 03 Sol Search, 06 City Sizzle and 09 Midnight Shimmer. The packaging is beautiful and similar to other Maybelline products such as the lifter gloss. The formula was lightweight but had a good staying power throughout the day. Super easy to apply, you can blend it with your fingers, brush or sponge. Personally what worked best was applying the product to the back of my hand and using a sponge to build up the coverage. Perfect shades for summer, shades 03 and 09 worked more as highlighters placed slightly higher on my cheeks, whereas shade 06 was a rosey pink for my skin tone. The shades blended together seamlessly and complimented one another. I will definitely be using all shades throughout the summer. I personally loved how the shimmer caught the sun! Great product Maybelline!!

These 3 blushes provided natural sun-kissed glow, I used all 3 shade together placing the more golden shades higher on my cheek as more of a highlighter and the pinkie shades on the lower parts to give that real sun-kissed look. These blushes have just the right amount of pigment in them that they blend out beautifully and are easy to layer to build the velour if desired. I find other liquid blushes very easy to apply too much product but with Maybelline blush the applicator was perfect for applying just the right amount of product! I can see myself repurchasing these products in the future as they are perfect for any look whether that's a light every day no makeup look to an everyday put together look. I even wore a combination of these blushes for a formal evening event and they performed amazingly, they did not appear to fade or transfer throughout the night and looked lovely in photos.
