The budget mascara celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta loves

Patrick Ta is pretty much the king of celebrity makeup. In case you haven’t heard of him, he’s the makeup artist for just about *all* of your favourite celebs, including Chrissy Teigen, Olivia Munn, Shay Mitchell and Rita Ora, just to name a few.

And while we can only imagine his drool-worthy selection of luxury, high-end makeup products, it’s damn refreshing to know there are a few budget options in his makeup kit, too!

In an interview with Bustle, the celebrity makeup artist revealed that his go-to mascara is none other than Maybelline New York Gigi Hadid Fibre Mascara.

"I’m currently obsessed with Gigi x Maybelline Mascara," he shared.

And we can totally understand why. Praised for its ultra volumising and lengthening effect, the dual-ended mascara works to amp up the drama and enhance your peepers on a whole other level - all for around $20.

With Gigi Hadid as one of his regular clients (just have a scroll through his celebrity-fuelled Instagram – she constantly makes an appearance), Ta says he’s tried all of the products from Gigi’s collaboration with the brand. Gigi’s Lip Liner and Matte Lipstick (both in the shade Lani), also made his list of affordable faves.

“You definitely don’t need to spend a fortune on mascaras," Ta says.

Or falsies for that matter - another of his fave products is Ardell Individuals Duralash Combo Pack Starter Kit, which you can grab from Priceline for around $12.

Ta says you’ll also find the almost-too-beautiful-to-use Milani Rose Powder Blush in Blossomtime Rose (which just so happens to be the most pinned blush on Pinterest!) in his makeup kit, and it will only set you back around $25. "The texture of the blush is comparable to many high-end brands," shares Ta. 

Well, looks like we’ve got a bit of shopping to do!
