When we think of the perfect red lip, there’s one name that comes to mind immediately: Taylor Swift. And not just because we’re clinically obsessed with her (okay, maybe a little) – the girl just knows how to nail a red lip (and blonde bangs).

Swift’s name has been synonymous with red lipstick since she first wore it back in ‘09 on the cover of Allure. And ever since, we’ve been hoping she’d drop a lipstick line of her own – or at least collab on a new shade with her bestie Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty.

But the singer is as tight-lipped about her beauty routine as she is about her love life so finding her go-to lip products proves difficult even for the most seasoned Swifties.

The question "what lipstick is Taylor Swift wearing?" has been on everyone's lips since Swift stepped back into the spotlight during her Eras Tour and those iconic NFL games supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce (AKA the guy on the Chiefs). That was, until, legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath spilled the tea on Swift's entire Eras Tour makeup look. 

And now McGrath has done it again, seemingly confirming exactly what lip colour Taylor Swift wore at the Super Bowl. The lipstick that stayed on during that kiss...

What red lipstick does Taylor Swift wear?

Mere hours after Swift and Kelce closed out the big game with the cutest PDA, McGrath took to Instagram stories to share a snippet of the two lovers with a link to "shop kiss-proof lipsticks". And, to nobody's surprise, it led right to a new shade of McGrath's own cult-favourite lipstick line.

The culprit in question? Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick in 'Forbidden Love' ($68 at Pat McGrath Labs).

Upon further investigation, it appears the "ultimate classic red" shade is the perfect match for Swift's Super Bowl red lip. If you've tried any of the Matte Trance Lipsticks before, you'll know how pigmented and velvety the product is.
