Lori Harvey went for a classic Hollywood look to hard launch her new relationship
It’s official! Lori Harvey and Damson Idris have finally hard launched their relationship.
The pair attended the premiere for the final season of Snowfall — Idris plays the protagonist in the crime drama series.
Lori Harvey chose to keep things classic for the special event, with a headful of vintage finger curls and a soft neutral smokey eye.
The ultimate accessory to her red carpet look? Her massive smile as she joked with the British actor in front of paparazzi.
When did Lori Harvey and Damson Idris start dating?
Harvey and Idris were rumoured to have started dating in December of 2022, when the pair were spotted hanging out in various places together.
However, they only made things official in January of 2023.
Harvey soft launched her relationship with Idris like every other modern couple — via Instagram.
She shared a carousel of images from her 26th birthday shenanigans to the platform, and celebrities such as Lizzo, Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner and Lil Nas X all partied with the model on her special day. But in between the chaotic shots of crowded rooms was a picture of Harvey and Idris posing as a couple.
When did Lori Harvey and Michael B Jordan break up?
At this point, Lori Harvey’s pretty used to dealing with highly publicised relationships.
Her relationship with ex-boyfriend Michael B Jordan was a year and a half of public displays of affection.
So naturally when the couple split up in June of 2022, the rest of the world had something to say about a relationship they felt they had been privy to.
The public response leaned on the side of misogynistic; Harvey was labelled a clout chaser and social climber, while Jordan was well-intentioned and subsequently ‘heartbroken’.
Lori Harvey on being single and dating again
It’s understandable after a public reaction like that, that Harvey would be more tactful when it comes to her dating life.
In the August following her breakup with Jordan, Harvey made it clear in an interview with friend Teyana Taylor she was happily single and didn’t have any intention of getting into a relationship anytime soon.
“I’m going to date on my terms, and however I want to move, and whatever I want to do, I’m gonna do it, and if it’s no longer serving me, I’m going to move on,” she said confidently.
She also admitted to being a “horrible communicator” and that it’s something she’s “actively been working on.”
“I’m very much in a space right now where I’m not doing anything that’s gonna compromise my peace and happiness,” she went on to say. “I think just taking control, making sure you maintain your power, don’t give your power away to anybody… is the key to truly being happy in or out of a relationship.”
Harvey’s not the only celebrity making exciting announcements. Rihanna just announced her second pregnancy at the Superbowl.
