This is Lori Harvey's exact workout routine
*Furiously signs up for as many Pilates classes as possible*
Lori Harvey and her ab-centric Met Gala look had the Internet in a frenzy.
In a viral red carpet interview, Harvey revealed that her toned physique was a result of Pilates, and that it’s something she even recommends to her friends, like fellow celebrity Normani.
After dropping the inside scoop on how she acquired her abs, fans quickly made appointments with their local Pilates studios to try it out for themselves.
Most celebrities would leave it at that. But Harvey is more generous than most and actually gave her fans a workout breakdown via TikTok so they could fully understand the work that went into her impressive washboard abs.
In the video, Harvey revealed that when she first started dating boyfriend Michael B. Jordan she put on 15 pounds of relationship weight; “it was horrible, none of my clothes fit, it was not okay”
“I started doing Pilates consistently for a year, I’d done it for a few years, but I’ve been more consistent in the last year,” she went on to say.
“When I was trying to drop weight, I was trying to work out five to six times a week,” Harvey explained. “I would even do, for like the first month and a half, I would do two-a-days.”
The real key to her weight loss though? Maintaining a calorie deficit and introducing cardio into her workout routine.
“I was consuming like 1200 calories a day max,” she confessed. “I wasn’t on a specific diet, I was just trying to do meat and veges and minimal carbs.”
As for cardio? “I had a sprint interval workout that I would do.”
“I would do Pilates in the morning and then I would leave there, go to the gym and hop on the treadmill for 30 minutes,” she said.
Harvey also opted for hikes and stair sprints to supplement her Pilates workouts.
“[Just] do some type of cardio, because that’s how you drop [weight]. Pilates alone is not going to make you lose weight, it’s just going to give you long, lean muscles.”
Harvey’s not the only celeb with awesome abs. This is Dua Lipa's diet and exercise routine.
