Hilary Duff just debuted a stunning new hair hue
It’s Lizzie McGuire, all grown up
As anyone who grew up in the noughties will tell you, the Disney Channel’s Lizzie McGuire was the coolest show out.
Featuring Hilary Duff as 13-year-old Lizzie, Lizzie McGuire has forever won a place in our hearts thanks to the script’s all-too-relatable plot.
The show’s noughties beauty vibe was totally on point, too – who doesn’t remember Lizzie’s hair?! That golden honey blonde shade was nothing short of iconic.
Since Lizzie McGuire wrapped, Hilary has gone on to have a huge career in the entertainment industry, and she’s also launched a beauty collab and tried her hand at a heap of hair colours – blue included!
Now, after 15 years, Hilary is finally bringing back Lizzie McGuire in a brand new spinoff featuring Lizzie all grown up, navigating life in New York City as a 30-year-old millennial.
And, Hilary’s brand new hair transformation for the reboot has given us a sneak peek of what Lizzie is going to look like – as an adult!
Check it out:
Wow! How good does she look?! We’re loving this modern version of Lizzie’s signature blonde locks.
"When creating Lizzie’s new blonde it was important to Hilary that it was different from what Lizzie had in the past, and also a little different from what Hilary would normally have," Hilary’s hairstylist Nikki Lee told Refinery 29.
To create a natural shadow at Hilary’s roots and a graduation from Hilary’s dark blonde roots to her lightened ends, a technique called ‘root tapping’ was used, Nikki explained in an Instagram post.
And we think the resulting look is gorgeous!
