Rihanna took to Instagram to announce the news; "Ya done know that @fentybeauty was coming to dominate the mascara game too!!". And dominate it will. Aptly titled 'Full Frontal Mascara', Fenty teased "a water-resistant, longwearing, and smudge resistant formula with a brush that lifts lashes on the fat side, and defines and curls on the flat side".
The description reads like a wishlist of what we'd expect from the perfect mascara, so it's no shock that Ri is aware she has a winner on her hands. She confirmed her confidence with a comment on Fenty Beauty's Instagram announcement: "It's OVER for these folks! OVAAAAAAA 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿".
It drops January 16, debuting with one true black colour named "Cuz I'm Black" (a shade shared with Fenty Beauty's Flyliner), and will be available at Sephora, sephora.com.au and fentybeauty.com for $39.
And in the case the mascara launch doesn't meet your releases-from-Rihanna quota, take solace in the fact that another drop could also be in the pipeline.
Despite her obvious mastery in makeup, she kicked off 2020 with a bare-faced, skin-positive selfie, leaving eager fans to theorise regarding the impending release of Fenty Skin.
Wishful thinking for now, but we'll keep our lashes primed and our eyes peeled.
