Rihanna's Fenty Hair will finally be available to shop this June
By now we’re all very much subscribed to the undeniable cult of Fenty followers.
From Fenty Skin to Fenty Beauty, Rihanna is killing it when it comes to giving her customers the products they want.
And while we’re still waiting on bated breath for pop’s resident bad gal to drop another album, we’re more than happy to hear she’s supplying us with a wealth of hair supplies in the interim.
Rihanna just announced via Fenty Beauty's various social media accounts that Fenty Hair is officially hitting shelves in 2024, and we won't have to wait long to get our hands on it either. Fenty Hair will be available to shop in the US via early sign-up from June 10 and to the wider public from June 14 on the Fenty Hair website.
You can also peep a teaser of the new haircare range (which Rihanna says is all about hair repair) at the fresh Fenty Hair Instagram account — we'd recommend hitting the follow button to keep up with updates from the brand prior to the launch.
So far we've been introduced to the full line up of repair-focused hair care products (keep scrolling to meet the whole team), which has left fans of Fenty expressing their confusion over Rihanna donning wigs in all of the brands promotional content, despite the brand's lack of wig-related products. There have also been comparisons drawn between Beyoncé's hair brand Cecred, which launched earlier this year in February and also focuses on hair repair.

I love Rihanna DOWN but if Beyonce shot her ad for Cecred in a 28 piece quick weave y’all would’ve had think pieces on CNN. #FentyHair pic.twitter.com/cGZRnIjVlu

Two years ago Rihanna’s company Roraj Trade, LLC officially filed to trademark a salon’s-worth of hair-related products (including a broad trademark for haircare products) back in 2022, and E! News also reported at the time that the trademark filing included items such as “hair bands, barrettes, picks, bows, clips, pins, ribbons, scrunchies, nets, hair extensions, wigs and hair curlers.”
Filing a trademark for hair extensions and wigs, seemed like a natural choice for the brand given Rihanna's storied history with hair transformations and the brand's inclusionary stance on beauty. Much like Fenty Beauty’s prioritisation of black and brown women in the initial rollout of the makeup brand, which included a revolutionary range of foundation shades, many were sure Fenty Hair will include a range of products marketed at these communities also.
The Twitter community expressed excitement over the news of the filing in 2022, with a few users hilariously tweeting quips like, “bad gal bundles pon di way #fentyhair,” and “these are not the kind of tracks we asked for Riri but if Fenty is selling we are buying.”
“I just know Rihanna gone have all the rawr bundles for the low. I can’t wait to shop #FentyHair,” said another excited fan.
Of course, there's potential for these products to be developed at a later stage once Fenty Hair has established itself as a brand with mass appeal, but it's evident that fans were expecting the same emboldened and unapologetic entry into the beauty industry that Fenty Beauty was applauded for.
What products is Fenty Hair launching with?
Fenty Hair has officially dropped the names and purposes of the brand's first seven hair care products, and fans who've already received their orders have dished that there are also hair accessories such as silk bonnets and scrunchies, and hair clips to discover too.
The hair ritual begins with the Fenty Hair The Rich One Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner duo, but there is also the Fenty Hair The Richer One Moisture Repair Deep Conditioner for hair types that need a little bit of extra lovin'.
The brand is also offering two leave-in hair repair products; Fenty Hair The Comeback Kid Instant Damage Repair and Fenty Hair The Homecurl Curl Defining Cream.
Plus, there are two finishing products on offer to perfect your everyday hairstyles: Fenty Hair The Gelly Type Strong Hold Gel and Fenty Hair The Controlling Type Thickening Edge Control Gel.
So far Australian Fenty fans have yet to receive word on the release down under, but based on the prices in the US, we're looking at a premium but affordable range of repairing hair care.
While we wait for more information on the imminent release of Fenty Hair, we’re gonna try to hunt down a dupe for Fenty Beauty’s lip stain, because we’re already running low and those waitlists are long…
