Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton is “very much in love” with this ‘The White Lotus’ star

Chris Appleton is responsible for some of the sexiest hair in Hollywood.

Stars like Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa and JLo all flock to the celebrity hairstylist for his amazing work. But while we know lots about his clients and his impressive portfolio, Appleton is notoriously secretive about his private life.

However, when he stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show back in March 2023, Barrymore managed to get the scoop on the hairstylist’s relationship with The White Lotus star Lukas Gage.

“Anyone in your life we should know about?” Barrymore asked.

“Actually, yeah,” Appleton responded bashfully. “Listen, I’m actually very happy, I’m very much in love and I feel very grateful to be able to share my time with someone very special.”

“Love is a really special thing and I think meeting someone you really connect with is really, really special,” he went on to say. 

“You are such an amazing human being, I’m sorry, but you are like the world’s great catch,” Barrymore gushed. “You are Chris, you are — I know you.”

“I know who you are inside, we all know your work on the outside, but you are such a good person,” the television host continued. “I can’t think of anyone who deserves happiness more.”

“Here’s to love,” exclaimed Appleton as he lifted her off her feet and embraced her in a bear hug.

Lukas Gage on his relationship with Chris Appleton

Appleton seems to have opened up the proverbial floodgates after appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show — now everyone wants to talk to the pair about their relationship. 

During a recent interview on the TODAY Show, host Dylan Dreyer managed to weave Appleton into a conversation with Gage. 

“Your hair has been looking phenomenal,” she said tactfully. “We actually have Chris Appleton on at the end of the week. What do you think he would think about your hair?”

“I think this mane needed to be tamed,” Gage joked. “I also needed to be tamed.” 

“I feel very happy, very lucky, and very much in love,” he gushed as images of the couple appeared on a monitor in front of them. “That’s a good-looking man.” 

“We have fun together,” he said of his relationship with Appleton. “We go on adventures and it’s the best.”

The actor also admitted that filming the latest season of Netflix’s You in London had left a profound effect on him (and his taste in men).

“There’s just something about being in London,” he laughed. “I got a taste for the Brits and I couldn’t help myself.”

Are Chris Appleton and Lukas Gage married?

A source told US Weekly in early April 2023 that “they’re not telling the public yet, but they have told friends they are engaged. They got engaged before they even had rings and then went to pick them out together.”

The source also said their “friends think they are a great couple. Even though they moved very quickly, everyone around them is very excited about their relationship.”

However, on April 22nd 2023, it was confirmed that the couple were wed in an intimate ceremony at the Little White Chapel in Vegas after the pair successfully acquired a marriage license according to Clark County Clerk records. 

Gage shared a highlight reel of the couple's special day to his Instagram on Wednesday 26th April and gave fans a glimpse at the ceremony and reception, which included a performance by one of their witnesses Shania Twain. 

Kim Kardashian attended and actually officiated the wedding, and the following day presented Appleton with the ‘Hair Artist of the Year’ award at the Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in L.A. 

No word yet on when the pair plan to honeymoon, but given the couple’s love of adventurous vacations, they’re sure to come up with something unexpected to celebrate their nuptials.
