The $10 hair tool celebrity hair stylist Justine Marjan uses on all her clients
If it’s good enough for Ashley Graham & Hailee Steinfeld…
Celebrity hair stylist Justine Marjan has over 15 years of experience and caters to the A-list strands of stars like Ashley Graham, Hailee Steinfeld, Khloé Kardashian, Kristin Cavallari, Gwen Stefani, Dorit Kemsley, Nicole Scherzinger, Olivia Culpo and more.
In other words, Marjan is booked, busy and a highly trustworthy source when it comes to hair care secrets.
Recently she chatted to E! News about the hair tools she swears by and frequently uses on her star-studded clientele.
Naturally, the ghd ambassador mentioned a few hair straighteners from said brand — the ghd Duet Styler ($595 at Adore Beauty) and the ghd Unplugged Styler ($500 at Adore Beauty) are her favourites. The former “cuts down the styling time” because it dries wet hair and styles at the same time, and the latter is perfect for quick touch-ups on-the-go (“I keep one in my car or in my purse because it's small”).
But, Marjan surprised us when she spilled to E! News that the hair tool she swears by and uses on all her clients the most is actually inexpensive; in fact you can pick it up at your local supermarket for a tenner.
“I love creaseless clips because you can keep the hair in place,” she said in the interview. “They're so cute — [you]might as well be cute while you're styling the hair.”
Want to try creaseless clips? We recommend:
Mermade Hair No Crease Clips ($10 at Adore Beauty), McoBeauty Hair Clips No Crease Assorted 6 Pack ($10 at Woolworths), and Piper 4 Pack Crease Free Clips in Tortoise ($19.95 at MYER).
Marjan isn’t the only celebrity hair stylist dishing out industry secrets, Joey King just debuted gold hair at Schiaparelli, and her hair stylist gave us very specific instructions so we can recreate the look.

Briar Clark got her start in the media industry in 2017, as an intern for Marie Claire and InStyle. Since then, her keen interest in fashion and beauty has landed her gigs as a Digital Content Producer and Beauty Editor with titles like Girlfriend, Refinery29, BEAUTYcrew and beautyheaven. She loves the way seemingly innocuous topics like skin care and style have the ability to put a smile on people’s faces or make them think about themselves a little differently. A big believer in self love and experimentation, Briar has made a point of becoming the Australian beauty industry’s unofficial guinea pig for unusual treatments and daring hair trends. When she’s not testing out the latest beauty launches, Briar is big on broadening her horizons, mostly in the form of food but she’s also partial to travelling to new destinations both near and far (and of course, allocating an extra bag to bring their best beauty offerings home with her).
