Cara Delevingne has just shown us 3 stunning ways to style your bob
Who would have thought this hairstyle could be so versatile?
Cara Delevingne has been busy doing the press rounds for her new television series, Carnival Row, but more importantly, she’s been dishing out some seriously breathtaking beauty looks.
The highlight? Her hair, because she is werkin’ that bob like there’s no tomorrow, and it’s all the inspo you’ll need to try a few new styling techniques (or even take the plunge to get the chop).
So if you’ve ever worried about cutting your hair because shorter hair isn’t as ‘versatile’ as long, Cara will have you changing your mind, STAT.
#1 / Deep side parting paired with textured waves
Cara’s beautifully tonged, textured waves give this look a very girly feel. However, that deep side parting tactically adds some nice oomph and height (and cleverly exposes her ear tatts).
To get the look, you’ll first want to curl your hair all over – but don’t worry about being too neat! One of our fave tools for this is ghd’s Curve 2.0 Creative Curl Wand. Then, to give it Cara’s lived-in vibe, run your fingers through your hair to separate the curls and finish with a spritz of a texture spray, like Sam McKnight’s Cool Girl Barely There Texture Mist.
#2 / A sleek and smooth half-up/half-down style
Although this hair look may be simple, it’s incredibly chic – so it’s an absolute winner when you’re strapped for time but need to look polished. To recreate the look at home, simply divide away your top section of hair, backcomb at your roots to add a little lift a la Cara then secure it at the back of your head using a hairband.
#3 / Dead straight with a faux undercut
We’re getting punky kinda vibes from this hair look, and it’s a good one to try if you want something a little more impactful than a straight-up sleek bob. One side of Cara’s hair has been scraped back and secured, so when viewed from the front, the look almost gives the illusion that she’s gone for an edgy undercut.
As for the rest of the hair, it has been straightened before being swept across Cara’s forehead. Very rock ‘n’ roll. To get that silky finish yourself, try Remington’s Proluxe Salon Straightener, and finish the hair with a smoothing balm, like evo Easy Tiger Smoothing Balm.
