The 2017 marie claire Prix d’Excellence de la Beauté award winners revealed

When it comes to recommending a great beauty product, you can't go past the word of a magazine or beauty editor. They get thousands of products crossing their desk every year, and have the tough (ok, it's pretty awesome) job of trialling as many of them as possible so they can share their reviews with the world. The marie claire Prix d’Excellence de la Beauté awards recognise the best new products of the past 12 months, as voted for by a panel of editors from around the world.

This year the international marie claire judges included:

The panel of global judges included the following beauty journalists: Béatrice Thivend, Gala France; Brigitte Papin, Madame Figaro; Catherine Baudet, Biba; Charlène Favry, Avantages; Emmanuelle Demarest, Femina; Emmanuelle Lannes, Cosmopolitan France; Julie Levoyer, Stylist France; Linh Pham, lejournaldemoncorps.fr; Sabrina Bottone, Elle Italy; Virginie de Tarlé, Femme Actuelle and Prima France.

And then locally, our very own Beauty Editor, Iantha Yu, along with marie claire Australia's Beauty Director Lucy Adams and Executive Beauty Editor Sherine Youssef weighed in on their favourites.

Research and innovation award

Special jury prize - CHANEL

The panel was impressed  with the pared-back ingredients in CHANEL La  Solution 10, while  the consistency of CHANEL Rouge  Coco Stylo was a stand-out thanks to its coverage  and hydrating benefits.
