The cast of ‘The Hills’ have the best before and after beauty transformations

It would be wrong not to start with our leading lady from seasons 1-5. Lauren Conrad was (and still is) a beauty icon. So much so, she wrote a book on it and recently released her own long-awaited beauty line. She (not Blair Waldorf –Gossip Girl was a year later) made headbands a thing and is just about as responsible for our love of winged eyeliner as Kim Kardashian is for contouring. Also, bring back black nail polish and pearl necklaces. 

Audrina was defo meant to be the 'edgy' one. Read: the only non-blonde one. The fact she worked behind the front desk of a music label and occasionally wore a wrist cuff only cemented the fact. She's also responsible for how much pencil eyeliner we wasted on our waterlines. It's great to see she's now allowed to get highlights again. 

If you're wondering what happened to Heidi, you obviously missed the momentous episode in season 6 where she emotionally told her mum about the 10 procedures she had in one day. Since then she's had a breast reduction and spoken out about her surgical escapades.

"I definitely regret the surgeries that I have had over the years, I think I was so young and in such an unstable situation in my life with so much going on and so much pressure," she said.

Ahhh Speidi. We can't mention one without following directly with the other, and in the case of Spencer Pratt, he's barely aged a day. The same blue eyes, slightly dustier blonde hair, and that slightly clenched smile. Either crystal healing really does work wonders, or the 12-year marriage has been nothing but pure bliss.

Speaking of love interests, Justin Bobby (the man so great he needed two names) is still just as dark, mysterious and f*ck-boy-like as we remember. Only now he's swapped the need to wear a beanie or bike helmet at all times for guyliner. Hello? Johnny Depp? Yes, your persona has been stolen.

Nobody was ever going to replace the LC-shaped hole in our heart once Conrad made her dramatic exit during Speidi's wedding episode. But hell, the producers sure did try by throwing us a Laguna Beach throwback bone in the form of Kristin Cavallari. Gone was her side fringe and layered lob, but the fierce dancing-on-tables-in-Cabo Cavallari was still very much alive. The now E! host has mostly kept her blonde hair long and wavy since, with a power ponytail packing a punch every now and then.

As soon as Brody Jenner reveals the wizard behind this Botox magic, we're there. Just kidding... we're sure its genetics. He is part-Kardashian after all (sort of, not really).

As LC's BFF, it's only right that Lo also had a thing for thick hair accessories. She too has hardly aged a day but has ditched the peroxide blonde for something more subtle.

Cast your mind back and remember why Brody and Lauren never got together. Two words: Jen Bunney. In the biggest (actual) real-life plot twist, Bunney now goes by her married name Dunphy and has a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), working as a Chief Population Health Officer in Orange County (YES, THE OC).

Like her TV pals, the layers of eyeliner has been swapped for a lighter beauty look (and professional headshot). And although she didn't return for the reprise, Bunney is still close with her castmates and is actually the godmother of Speidi's son, Gunner. 

We'd have never given up a trip to Paris for 2006 Jason. 2020 Jason, however...

Whitney was always a classic beauty. She even managed to escape the completely over-plucked brows phase. 

Yes, Emily Weiss, AKA the founder of coveted beauty brand Glossier once appeared on The Hills. And aside from a slightly shorter hairstyle, the once hardworking intern from Teen Vogue has barely changed at all (must be that Super Glow serum). 

A little bit of nose surgery here, a little lip filler there. Though Stephanie Pratt has never confirmed any type of plastic surgery, the differences between her debut face to now are substantial. Since entering The Hills as Spencer's younger sister, she's since been on quite the reality TV stint, appearing on Celebrity Big Brother and a range of Made in Chelsea spin-offs before landing back at The Hills: New Beginnings.

He may not have always been front and centre of every episode, but real The Hills fans will always remember Frankie Delgado. It was at his birthday party after all where Lauren spat the iconic line, "you know what you did". Chills.
