Remember when Beyoncé dropped 'Lemonade' out of the blue? Or how Taylor Swift surprised us all with 'Folklore' when we needed it most? Well, our favourite reality-TV-icon-turned-lifestyle-guru Lauren Conrad has done just that, beauty style. Yes, indeed, 'Lauren Conrad Beauty' is not only happening, it's already here.
“I’m very excited to announce @laurenconradbeauty!” Conrad shared via social media. “This collection has been years in the making, and now I can FINALLY share it with everyone! [The] products are clean, environmentally friendly, ethically sourced, cruelty-free, and vegan – and the first collection is available now at LaurenConradBeauty.com".
What is the range made up of, you ask? The first drop was solely about makeup, with the collection containing a lip and cheek tint, liquid highlighter, lip gloss, lipstick and liquid liner — fitting considering Conrad's affinity for classic cat-eyes. While we must admit it seems like the lack of mascara equals a missed meme opportunity (no The Hills fan could ever forget that glistening charcoal tear), the chic nude packaging and stunning shades certainly help matters; FYI, the lipstick colour 'Dahlia' officially has our hearts.
But by no means is Conrad stopping at cosmetics; in fact, she just revealed her plans to expand into skin care (girl moves quick). Yep, the Queen of 'Kohl's' (the U.S. retailer that has been her long-term partner throughout many fashion and home decor ventures) is gearing up to stock an extended Lauren Conrad Beauty range, landing October 9th 2020 and loaded with everything from cleanser and vitamin C oil to two different types of body moisturisers (if we have to make a choice between them, consider this our formal plea for the products to be named 'Jason' and 'Paris'...)
Unfortunately for us Aussies, however, the range is currently shipping solely within the States (as is Kohl's; sigh). But we can still seek out all the beauty advice in her iconic Lauren Conrad Beauty book for now...
