Sabrina Carpenter's VMAs nails were worth an award themselves

They were giving popstar energy

If you're anything like us, your head is still totally in awards show land. And don't let the fact that the VMAs were days ago stop you from staying there. Because there were so many 10/10 beauty looks to breakdown. And no, we're not ashamed to admit it, we spent an embarrassingly long amount of time trying to recreate Chappell Roan's VMAs makeup

But you know what won't teach you a masterclass in patience? Sabrina Carpenter's nail look. Yep, winning the best song of the year and best nails (in our opinion), the star is basically unstoppable. And easily becoming our go to inspo for all things beauty, um, hello, have you seen that blush? Not to mention the fact that her music videos just keep serving.

Bet you're ready to see the look in question (as if you haven't already) and get to all the glossy details...

Sabrina Carpenter VMAs Nails

Yep, not even award-winning popstars can avoid the 'glazed donut' nail trend. Why? Because it just looks so good, as evidenced by Carpenter's angelic glossy white talons, which came encrusted with rhinestones (as every award-winner's nails should).

So, how did Carpenter's nail artist Zola Ganzorigt (AKA the iconic @nailsbyzola) nail (excuse the pun) the look?

Starting off with a glossy shade of white, Ganzorigt took OPI Nail Polish in 'Alpine Snow' ($24.95 at Adore Beautyacross Carpenter's tips. And now the magic starts. Like all glazed tips in Hollywood before them, Carpenters were no different, having OPI's now discontinued (yep, a devastating blow to all) 'Tin Man Can' chrome powder buffed in to create the pearlescent effect. But because we didn't stock up on the glimmering powder when we could (a real shame), we've had to find alternatives. Like the Esmio Beauty Glazed Nail Powder ($13 at Esmio).

Then to finish the look off, Ganzorigt places a smattering of shining rhinestones on Carpenter's talons. And while we don't know the exact stones that were used, we think the easy-to-apply Gelous Aurora Rhinestone Nail Art Set ($12 at Gelous) would finish off your DIY look perfectly.

Our gives an eff are well and truly on duty for this one. And you best believe we'll be trying out the look at-home as soon as our latest beauty orders arrive.
