Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation

I started using this foundation recently and I am just loving the way it looks on me. A few years ago I switched away from matte foundations, but this has reminded me how much I love the matte look! Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation goes on really smooth, blends into my skin well, and worked well with all my skin care products. I felt like it lasted all day and it looked consistent from morning till evening. Loved this foundation and I am going to put into my regular routine! I will for sure be purchasing a lighter shade so I can have 1 for the summer and 1 for winter!

I was very excited to trial the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation and specifically, see how a ‘luminous matte finish’ would sit on my normal-dry skin. I’m pleasantly surprised to find that it’s more of natural finish on me, which I love, and it doesn’t cling to any dry spots on my skin like a usual matte foundation would do! Safe to say I’m sold on the ‘lumi-matte’ concept. Perfect for those who don’t love the extreme matte or dewy look! Personally, I love starting with a hydrating sunscreen underneath before working this foundation on top with either my fingers or beauty blender - such a perfect combo! The coverage also builds up nicely without looking cakey. The foundation is also super long-lasting. It has survived many long days at work and out on adventures without wearing off or even oxidising. I also love the unique packaging of the rectangle glass bottle, and the user-friendly pump. So good being able to dispense the exact amount I need whilst also being hygienic. Overall, I’m really impressed with the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation and have already recommended to some of my girlfriends who I know would love this!

I use the 327 shade. As someone with dark skin, this foundation gives me a natural makeup look without feeling cakey or too heavy. It blends seamlessly on my skin, providing great coverage with just a small amount. It’s incredibly lightweight and leaving my skin looking flawless. I also love the bottle design. it has a pump, so you can dispense exactly the amount you need without wasting any product. There’s a wide range of shades to match different skin tones. On top of that the price is affordable which is another bonus. I would recommend this product t lasts beautifully throughout the day!

This was my first trial on Maybelline foundation, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte one in the colour 090. I have a combination dry skin. I love its lightweight texture and natural finish, which worked well on my drier areas without clinging to dry patches. However, I noticed that it could be slightly mattifying for my preference, so I recommend using a hydrating primer underneath for a more balanced look. I appreciated its long-lasting formula and quick-drying finish, and it sets so well on its own that I didn’t need a setting spray or powder, which is great for an effortless routine. Overall, it's a great option for long-lasting wear, especially if you're looking for medium coverage with a luminous touch.

This foundation is still pretty new to me, but I have been really enjoying it! It has a very thin consistency and it feels very lightweight on the skin. I prefer to apply it with a beauty sponge, but it can be applied with the fingers or a brush just as well. The lumi-matte description threw me a little bit, so I didn't know what to expect with the finish. It goes on more matte without being drying, but then will get a bit more luminous throughout the day. I honestly couldn't get close to 30 hours wear time, but it does last pretty well and wears down nicely. I really wish they had a broader shade range though, with a vaster range of undertones.

I chose the lightest shade 90 as it seemed a lot of online swatches and videos showed that most shades were too tan and orange for my pale Asian skin. To make things more confusing, the shades available in Australia are different to those in Asia, so I couldn't even reference Asian reviews. Shade 90 is a little too white for me, but I can make it work. It's a great foundation in that it glides relatively smoothly on my textured and often dry patchy skin. I can easily apply this with my fingers, but I suspect it will look flawless with the right applicator. It has a medium and natural looking coverage. It's not matte-matte, but more of a "skin" finish. On my dehydrated-oily skin, after a few hours, my oil does shine through especially on my forehead and chin, but as I get older, I'm not really fussed by this any more. If so concerned, this can easily be fixed with any powder. It’s supposed to be transfer proof which I’d say mostly is, but my glasses still leave a mark of build up. All round, a very good foundation.

It's great everyday foundation for the not so heavy price point! I usually use a tinted moisturiser, but was eager to try this one and I wasn't disappointed. I used with a primer underneath and the foundation went on smoothly and easily. It gave me nice coverage as I built it up slowly with a particular focus on those areas which need a little more touch up. I also found that it lasted for most part of the day which was a welcome surprise. My skin also felt supple and moisturised without any drying up and caking by the end of the day Highly recommend this one for everyday use, and nice even tone and coverage.

I got sent this product as a member of the Beauty crew and i am very open to trying new foundations. Especially with my dry skin, i am looking for foundations that i can blend easily on my skin and won't separate. I really liked this foundation, the colour match was very good to start off with and it went on my skin very smoothly. It gave a really good medium coverage and i could build up if i wanted to. I have dry skin, and it gave my skin a nice luminous finish, while not looking oily. It also stayed on quite nicely through the day.

Maybelline Superstay Lumi-Matte Foundation is definitely not what I expected! I don't often wear this brand (have tried here and there), but this one has changed my mind. As an oily-skin lady and user of long-wear foundations for decades, I’m always interested in trying new ones. No matter the price point, they’re a bit of a mixed bag and most times I end up returning to the tried & true Estée Lauder Double Wear. This new version of Maybelline long-wear (I’m sure it used to be 24 hours?) claims to last up to 30 hours, which sounds a bit ridiculous - who needs foundation to last 30 hours?? I do love the glass packaging though, which always makes a product feel more premium, and the embossed branding makes the bottle easy to grip. The pump is great, allowing you to dispense as much or as little as you need. As I was sent this to review and had to choose a shade quickly, I didn’t get a chance to pop into a store and colour match. Relying on online recommendations, I chose 119 which was supposedly close to other foundations I wear but turned out to be a bit too light. Ah well, nothing a little bronzer can’t fix! The formulation is reasonably light & easy to apply, but I wouldn’t say it was “full” coverage. Another layer is required for full coverage, which makes the foundation a bit cakey and settles into fine lines. I had to powder a couple of times during the day to keep shine under control, although this was slightly better on the days I used a decent primer first. For this reason, I’m very doubtful of the 30 Hour claim, even though I removed it after just a normal 12 hour day of wear. Overall, it’s OK - especially for the price when on sale. Would recommend for younger, oily/combo skinned folks on a budget.

I really liked the texture of this foundation, it spread well and provided enough coverage. I generally choose foundations with a dewy finish so was quite surprised to find that I liked the finish of this foundation and it actually reminds me of another high end foundation I use. It’s a very natural, skin like finish and does not look cakey at all. It plays well with my skin care and did not separate for me. I found the colour stayed true and I did not notice any oxidisation either. All in all a great foundation and one that I would wear daily especially for work as the staying power was great too.

It's got a nice lightweight and smooth formula so it's buildable but it's not full coverage which is what I'm usually after. I have oily skin and after a few hours it didn't look too good and went a bit patchy so I wouldn't say it's the best choice for oily skin, it also oxidised once dried down so it came out a little too dark and orange. Packaging is nice, doesn't get too messy which is good, always need a foundation with a pump lid. Would be great for someone with mostly clear skin who wants a light base coverage of foundation.

I received the Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte Foundation to trial as part of Beauty Crew’s Review Crew. I chose my colour based on the description online and have to say it’s spot on. I typically use tinted moisturisers as I prefer a natural finish but was pleasantly surprised by this foundation. It’s lightweight while providing great coverage and it’s quite buildable without a cakey finish. It still looked great at the end of the day without any touch ups needs throughout the day. It provides a nice bright glowy finish to the skin making you look fresh. I would consider purchasing this in future if I were to move to foundations again and would happily recommend to friends and family.

This foundation is absolutely beautiful! I tried it out on a very hot day here in Northern NSW and spent the day walking and at the beach. The foundation stayed on perfectly and did not cause my face to get clogged and sweaty. Its a really nice breathable base and the colour matching was almost perfect. Slightly on the orange side but it is hard to choose the perfect foundation shade online when trying out a new brand. I would buy this foundation instead of the expensive brand I have been using continuously for the past few years. A great addition to anyone's make up cabinet.

I received Maybelline SuperStay Lumi-Matte foundation, as part of the Review Crew and was generally pleased with the product. I received the lightest shade, which was the perfect shade for my skin. The product has no fragrance, is nicely packaged and the pump works well, with just the right amount being dispensed in each pump. I do not recommend using with any oil based cleanser or moisturiser before applying this foundation, as it will affect its longevity and you may look cakey. It is not full coverage, it is only a light foundation, which can be layered with concealer and finished with powder. I have been a fan of Maybelline products for a long time and am pleased with their new products.
