How Pia Miller stays fit at home
Plus, her tips for nabbing a good hair day
Pia Miller. Those dimples! The perfectly-scattered freckles! The always-perfectly tousled hair! We need a moment to gather ourselves. The girl just oozes effortless beauty on every level possible, and you’d totally be lying if you said you didn’t want to know what’s going on in her beauty routine. Well, we asked her just that when we sat down for an exclusive chat with the former model, actress and Pantene ambassador. You’re welcome, folks.
On how she likes to keep fit…
“I usually go to Fluid Form Pilates which I absolutely love! Reformer Pilates is such a good workout and I’ve noticed major changes in my body with regards to toning and strength. At the moment, due to the current situation, I’m doing some things at home. The great thing about Kirsten [from Fluid Form Pilates] is that she has a home workout program which I’ve been doing. So, there’s no excuses!"
On her everyday morning beauty routine…
“I wake up and jump in the shower. Regardless of whether I’m working from home or on set, I will start my day with this little routine: I generally wash my hair first with Pantene Pro-V - its new formula contains 0% silicone, so it leaves my hair feeling lightweight and smooth.
After washing my hair, I cleanse my face. I use Liberty Belle’s Heartfelt in the morning. Once out [of the shower], I then use the rest of my Liberty Belle skin routine which consists of Eye Do (eye cream), Glam Squad (serum) and I finish it with Superhero (moisturiser). I love their products. My skin really resonates with them at the moment - lots of actives and hydration. Pending on whether I am heading out or staying at home, I’ll usually put on a tinted SPF, curl my lashes and put a little bit of mascara on.”
On her top tips for great hair…
“I like to find a balance between washing my hair every day and skipping a wash. If you’re worried about skipping a wash because of the dreaded day two grease, choose a shampoo with no silicone, like Pantene. It helps each wash last that little bit longer and your hair won’t feel weighed down. I also like to make sure I use products that are right for my hair type. Pantene’s Pro-V range contains lots of different variants, so you can choose the one which is right for you. My hair needs lots of nourishment so my favourite is the Daily Moisture Renewal.”
On her favourite way to style her hair…
“I generally like to wear my hair down but to do that, I have to ensure it’s in good health. Pantene is jam-packed with lipids and antioxidants to fight damage, so I know I can always count on it for a good hair day. If it’s just ‘one of those days’ and nothing is working in my favour, I do love a good hat styled with my hair down to get me through!”
On three of her favourite makeup products right now…
“I’m really loving M.A.C Eyeliner in Coffee, Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer and Kevyn Aucoin Eyelash Curler.”
On what’s on the horizon…
“There’s lots happening but unfortunately nothing I can share just yet. Come the second half of the year, I’m sure we will be talking again. I’m so lucky to work with my amazing clients such as Pantene. I’m the Australian Pantene Ambassador for a second year running now and thrilled to be part of the family.”
