Flutter your lashes at these new releases promising to lift, curl and volumise
A quick office poll revealed one beauty product that nobody could live without: mascara.
Not only can a few coats make you look more awake, but having long lashes can even make you feel sexier - just try it for yourself. Here are the latest and greatest on the market…
Best for: Sensitive eyes
You’ll love: Clinique’s Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara, which is 100% fragrance free, making it super-gentle on delicate skin types. This doesn’t mean it compromises on performance though, as the oversized brush and rich ink-like colour can instantly boost volume and colour density in just a few coats.
Best for: Straight lashes
You’ll love: Rimmel London Supercurler Mascara, which can seriously make your eyes look bigger thanks to its intense lifting powers. Claiming to push lashes up to a 90 degree curve, it means you can leave your lash curler at home. Call it a space-saver, if you will.
Best for: Sparse lashes
You’ll love: Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Black Pearl Mascara, that has a flexible brush with tiny firm bristles to coat each individual lash, and fan them out. To take advantage of this tool, use the smaller bristles first to coat lashes with colour (don’t forget about the tiny lashes at the inner corner of your eyes too), and turn the brush around to use the outer bristles to magnify your work.
Best for: Short lashes
You’ll love: L’Oreal Paris False Lash SuperStar Mascara, which is a two-step system that works to enhance the look of your natural lashes. Start off with the white primer side to coat lashes with teensy velcro fibres, then immediately use the black mascara side to add volume and length. Now let the compliments roll in.
Best for: Drama, drama, and more drama
You’ll love: Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara, which can lengthen, thicken and push lashes outwards and upwards for an unbelievable result. It even contains polymeric resins to help your lashes maintain the curled shape for longer, and is made with a carbon-base formula for a blacker-than-black colour. How clever.
