MAFS Martha Kalifatidis just got the freakiest looking facial
But check out how amazing her skin looks
But check out how amazing her skin looks
Following her run on the 2019 edition of Australia reality TV series Married At First Sight, Martha Kalifatidis has been dipping her toes into the online world of beauty vlogging with the launch of her YouTube channel.
And it seems she has her sights set on becoming a beauty influencer; she recently took to Instagram to share a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos of her recent facial.
But it’s no ordinary facial-steam-and-clay-mask kinda deal: Truth be told, the facial looks kinda freaky… okay, A LOT freaky.
From Martha’s Instagram story, it appears the treatment began with a facial massage (nothing out of the ordinary to see here!):
Before moving onto a thorough cleanse and skin-softening treatment prior to the application of a green enzyme mask – AKA “layers and layers of luxurious green slime”, if you ask Martha.
Not toooo crazy, right?! But look what happens next.
Once the mask dries, it appears to shrink up and become “so tight you can hardly talk”, says Martha.
Whoa there! What just happened to her face and is anyone else getting Monsters Inc. vibes?! It doesn’t look like the most relaxing of facials and we’re thinking it looks downright uncomfortable.
But from Martha’s after-shot, it appears the green mask delivers some insanely glowing results. In fact, we’re convinced:
So what exactly is this weird-looking treatment?
Martha mentioned in one of her Instagram Stories that DMK products were used for the treatment, and after a little detective work, we’re pretty confident the facial she’s indulging in is the DMK Enzyme Therapy Treatments from Chakra Face and Body’s treatment menu.
According to Chakra Face and Body’s website, “Enzyme Therapy increases collagen production, strengthens capillaries, improves tone and firms the skin”. This treatment uses enzymes to strengthen the skin – it works on the internal functions of the skin to increase circulation, oxygenation and lymphatic drainage by flushing the cell walls and creating a healthy environment for your skin to flourish.
Oh, science!
After seeing Martha’s gorgeous glowing skin, it seems this treatment definitely delivers what it promises to. And if you’re thinking about upping the ante on your skin care game, Martha has signed off with some advice:
