Lily-Rose Depp’s exact eyeliner and nude lip combo, revealed
Lily-Rose Depp is definitely in the middle of ‘a moment’. With her starring role as Jocelyn in HBO’s (highly controversial but eagerly anticipated) show, The Idol, over 7 million followers already amassed, and her gig as one of Chanel’s favourite faces to paint, it’s no surprise she’s on the up and up.
But then again, her entire life has basically been a moment – Depp is certainly no passing craze. Nor does she seem to particularly like passing crazes, at least in the beauty game.
When it comes to her makeup, Depp actually keeps it incredibly simple, maintaining her status as one of the chicest women in the world by committing to two makeup staples: a slick of smokey winged liner and an expertly-applied nude lip.
Revolutionary? Perhaps not. But hey, if you’re going to don the classics, you might as well make sure they’re on Depp’s level of chicness. Here are her French-girl faves across lips and eyes...
Lily-Rose Depp’s winged eyeliner
"Lily-Rose’s signature [eye] look is defined and classical," Depp’s makeup artist, Kate Lee, told Byrdie re: the pair’s approach to eye makeup. "Her large, doe-like eyes make a kohl liner a natural go-to."
Kohl liner is precisely what the duo like to start with, using a "brown, jumbo khôl pencil such as the Chanel Stylo Ombre et Contour 3-in-1 Eyeshadow-Eyeliner-Kohl Pen in ‘Electric Brown’ ($55 at Myer) to create a soft, smudgy socket." This is the same product Lee uses to map out the cat eye, tracing Depp's waterline and extending out into a wing once she hits the outer corner.
Next comes the black liner. "On the base of the lashes, use a black gel-creme liner such as the Chanel Calligraphie De Chanel Intense and Waterproof Cream Eyeliner in ‘Hyperblack’ ($55 at Myer) to sharpen out the eyeliner," Lee recommends.

She may leave the eyeliner to Lee, but Depp is apparently an independent woman when it comes to lip colour, always opting to apply her own liner and lipstick. Luckily, it’s a task she’s obviously perfected, along with the trusty colour combination she uses.
Lee recommends following Depp’s lead with the Chanel Le Crayon Lèvres Longwear Lip Pencil in ‘Beige Naturel’ ($55 at Myer) layered beneath the Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in ‘Adrienne’ ($65 at Myer).
Now that's a perfect nude lip pairing if we ever did hear one!
