Lily-Rose Depp is one to watch
And not just because of her dad’s fame
Lily-Rose Depp is one lucky 16-year-old. Not only is she the current face of Chanel Pearl Eyewear, the daughter of Johnny Depp has just been announced as the face of the new Chanel N°5 L’EAU fragrance, too.
The French fashion house recently revealed the news and their affection for the up-and-coming actress and model, stating: “She embodies her generation and its values of freedom and boldness to perfection, bringing to the iconic fragrance of the house her youthful freshness and beauty.”
Lily-Rose is equally as thrilled about her new role with Chanel, taking to Instagram to share a snap of her kissing a large bottle of the new N°5 L’EAU fragrance, as well as gush about the news:
We’re guessing her mum Vanessa Paradis - who posed for Chanel's Coco fragrance in the ‘90s and more recently modelled the brand’s handbags and makeup - would be ever-so-proud.
The fragrance itself is the latest creation by Chanel's in-house perfumer Olivier Polge, and the new campaign staring Lily-Rose will be directed by Johan Renck. Slated for release in spring 2016, the campaign will no doubt be in Chanel’s signature mini-movie style, allowing the young actress to prove she’s more than just her stunning looks.
Cherie is somewhat of a digital dinosaur, having kick-started her beauty writing career back in 2009 at PRIMPED alongside industry expert Zoë Foster Blake. Since then, her words have appeared online and on paper for BEAUTYcrew, POPSUGAR, beautyheaven, New Idea, and Fitness First, while her marketing know-how has helped brands such as L'Oréal Paris, The Body Shop, A’kin, and Dr. LeWinn’s add a journalistic flair to their digital content. She is a vocal advocate for (physical) sunscreen, is rather fond of a bold lip, and is utterly terrible at styling hair.
