BEAUTYcrew sent the Lady Jayne VELOCITY Ionic Hairdryer and the Lady Jayne ARIA WAVE Air Styler to a panel of women aged 18-40 who were looking to style their strands in a more mane-friendly way.

The lowdown

How easy the tools were to use: Look, sometimes new tech tools can just be tricky. But with their multi-speed and heat settings, our REVIEWcrew members found this hair-saving duo to be a cinch to learn. Not to mention how incredibly lightweight and compact they were. Basically, you've just met your new best travel tool!

The smooth, shiny finish they achieved: If there's anything we could have every single day, it would be smooth, shiny strands. It's just the goal isn't it? Thankfully for our members, they were blessed with the ionic technology power behind these tools and were all (and we really do mean 100 per cent here, people) incredibly pleased with the glossy gorgeous finish to their tresses.

How healthy their strands felt after using the tools: Look we get it, styling your strands is a must. But heat damage and scorching your tresses is not it. I love that this hair dryer comes with variable heat and speed settings which made blow drying my hair quick and gentle. The design is so different to my old hairdryer, its light weight and comfortable to hold and I was easily able to hold it up and aim the nozzle close to my roots and to my brush to get the style I wanted. I love the simplicity of its design including the magnetic nozzle attachment. It doesn't take up too much room in my bathroom cupboard. The ionic technology I believe has calmed my frizz comparing it to my old ceramic hairdryer that blasts heat intensely instead of a gentle flow. It created a smooth blow dry on my particularly thick frizzy dry hair in a very short amount of time. I highly recommend this hair dryer.

This hair dryer was amazing to use. I have very fine wave hair, and a lot of it, so with other hair dryers I really struggled with how long it took to dry my hair. It could take me 40+ minutes to get my hair 90% dry. However, this hair dryer was very powerful. I could dry my hair from sopping wet to 90% dry in about 15 minutes which I never thought could be possible. The dryer is also very ergonomic and allowed me to easily get around my head without leaving my arm tired from its weight. I absolutely love this hair dryer and will continue to use it.

Love this innovative new product from Lady Jayne for hair styling. The air styler gives you freedom to straighten and curl hair with one product even with an inbuilt fan setting to cool hair creating effortless styling. I enjoyed the variety of heat settings and how quickly the product heated up compared to other straighteners I have used. Personally I am not the best at curling but this product made the process less scary and gave me ease of use, definitely motivated me to give some more curling practice. The product came with a beautiful velvet bag to keep everything together and protected which was a lovely surprise. I naturally have very curly and frizzy hair so when straightening it takes me a few rounds on the hair to get my desired look but with the air styler I was shocked on how smooth and straight my hair stayed just after one round and continued to reduced frizz throughout the day. Such a quick and easy to use product with a high quality feel for a fraction of the price. Overall this product is innovate, seamless and stylish and would definitely recommend!

The product is very light weight and I found it easy to use. The tool heats up very quickly which is important to me and I liked the different temperature settings. My hair is long, wavy and frizzy. After use my hair was very sleek and flyways were very minimal. The style lasted all day. I enjoyed using the cool feature with curling which was a great added bonus and it really helped waves stay in longer. It was also very easy to use at the back of the hair which can be difficult for me but the light weight nature of the tool made it very easy. Great product, lightweight. Compact and can be stored in the travel pouch, multiple heat settings and the cool shot was great.
