Kim Kardashian’s trick for always finding time to workout
Bonus: It’s actually doable
If you follow Kim Kardashian on Instagram, you’ll know from her daily stories that she is an absolute fitness BOSS – and with a famous figure like hers, it kinda makes sense that she works hard to maintain it.
Chances are you’ve also noticed these gym updates feature another woman: Kim’s personal trainer Melissa Alcantara, who recently praised the reality star for her unshakable fitness dedication.
According to Alcantara, they work out six days a week together, for an hour to an hour and a half each session, and up to an hour and 45 minutes on leg and butt days – yep, commitment!
While squeezing in a workout every day can seem impossible, Kim’s solution is easy – get up early.
We know – you love a sleep in, especially on cold winter days, but trust us (and Kim), you’ll be all the better for it.
Not only will you feel more energised and ready to take on the day when you start your morning with a sweat session, but you’ll also be able to fit more in to your schedule. And you won't miss that extra hour of sleep when you get to go straight home after work, guilt-free!
In an interview with Women’s Health US, Alcantara said of Kim, “Her schedule is crazy, and mine is also crazy, so we work out really early in the morning at 6 a.m.”
Alcantara says that by making exercise a regular part of your routine, you are more likely to stick with it. "Once it’s part of your daily routine and your life, then it’s not something you have to think about, you just have to do it."
And it also helps to have the right attitude. Alcantarasays Kim is incredibly committed to her fitness regimen. "It’s just her drive," the celebrity trainer explains."She knows what she wants, and she has to fit it in. She's like ‘I have to work out, this is part of my life’, it’s all about the mindset."
"She loves taking her kids to school. She’s a badass mom," says Alcantara. "She’s super responsible, she never cancels - she’s the best client and athlete you can have."
Go, Kim!
