Psalm West prepped for future beauty empire

Psalm West may only be two weeks old but that hasn’t stopped the fourth child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West from establishing a burgeoning beauty empire; Kim K filed for trademark protection of the tot’s name under her company Kimsaprincess Inc just days after he was born.
The trademark covers all things beauty, including a variety of skin care and body care offerings like cleansers, lotions, serums, facial oils, fragrance and bubble bath. The madness doesn’t stop there however, with additional products such as nail polish and nail polish remover, hair accessories and baby-related items like carriers and diaper bags making the cut as well.
It seems having your name trademarked is a rite of passage in the Kardashian-West household, as siblings North, Saint and Chicago also have trademarks under their mother’s company, covering everything from skin care, hair care, cosmetics, fragrance, clothing, jewellery and entertainment services.
In a way it’s kind of sweet that Kim wants to trademark her kids’ names – it ensures other businesses are unable to profit off of their identity and it gives them the opportunity to become moguls like their business-savvy mum.
We’re particularly curious about the nail polish and hair accessories additions to Psalm’s list of potential products and will be (im)patiently waiting to see what eventuates from these trademarks!

Briar Clark got her start in the media industry in 2017, as an intern for Marie Claire and InStyle. Since then, her keen interest in fashion and beauty has landed her gigs as a Digital Content Producer and Beauty Editor with titles like Girlfriend, Refinery29, BEAUTYcrew and beautyheaven. She loves the way seemingly innocuous topics like skin care and style have the ability to put a smile on people’s faces or make them think about themselves a little differently. A big believer in self love and experimentation, Briar has made a point of becoming the Australian beauty industry’s unofficial guinea pig for unusual treatments and daring hair trends. When she’s not testing out the latest beauty launches, Briar is big on broadening her horizons, mostly in the form of food but she’s also partial to travelling to new destinations both near and far (and of course, allocating an extra bag to bring their best beauty offerings home with her).
