Halle Berry’s number one workout for burning major calories and fat
Hint: Jennifer Aniston is a fan, too!
When a celebrity spills their top workout move, we listen. And when that celebrity is Halle Berry, we pretty much sign up for whatever she’s doing – because THAT bod!
In a recent Instagram post, Halle shared the benefits of her favourite full body workout – boxing.
Across a series of photos, she is pictured sweating it up with her trainer Peter Lee Thomas – and boy does it make us want to put on some gloves!
“#Boxing is still considered one of the best full body workouts”, she wrote. “You’ll sculpt every muscle and burn major calories and fat. It dramatically decreases stress levels, develops hand-eye coordination and builds confidence and discipline. But most importantly...you’ll never stop learning.”
Not only is boxing a great way to sweat it out and de-stress, but it’ll also work muscles you never even knew you had.
Halle says she’s been boxing for the past 10 years and doing it more regularly for the past three. “I love that I always learn a new way to challenge myself and work new muscles. I challenge you to pick up some boxing gloves and get at it...I promise you’ll have fun, get your heart rate up and sculpt your body at the same time!!"
And she isn’t the only celeb who considers boxing their number one workout.
As well as a throng of Victoria’s Secret Angels, Jennifer Aniston recently credited boxing for helping her stay in shape, and had very similar things to say about the form of exercise: “There’s something about the mental aspect of boxing — the drills, your brain has to work, you’re not just sitting on a bike. It’s amazing”.
While boxing certainly isn’t a new type of fitness, it has recently become a big hit (pun intended) with celebs and models alike. It’s the think-quick, skill-based nature of boxing that sets it apart from more repetitive exercises such as spinning on a bike or running on the treadmill. This is one that’ll keep you on your toes, improving your overall stamina, coordination and mental wellbeing.
Who’s ready to step into the ring?!
