If you follow Swedish model, Victoria’s Secret Angel and professional babe Elsa Hosk on Instagram, you will have noticed glimpses of her natural hair starting to pop up in your feed lately. Yep, it’s naturally curly and SO beautiful.
When she recently posted this snap on her Instagram Stories hinting that she was about to spill her top hair secrets, we were hoping she was going to clue us in on how she gets her curls so perfect…and she didn’t disappoint!
She says her secret to rocking her natural hair texture is the Structure Repair range from eco-conscious Swedish haircare brand Maria Nila Stockholm. According to our investigations, the products are formulated with algae extract to repair damaged, dry and chemically-treated hair.
Algae extract? Interesting!
Considering seaweed is known for being a rich source of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, it does make kinda sense. Just ask Kim Kardashian – she loves the stuff so much that she’s recently taken to blending it into her smoothies.
Looking at Elsa’s beautifully hydrated curls, we’d say the proof is in the pudding. Just look at that shine and separation!
Unfortunately, it seems Maria Nila Stockholm products aren’t yet available in Australia but if you’d like to try adding some sea algae into your haircare regimen, the Sachajuan range (also Swedish!) is formulated with the brand’s Ocean Silk Technology, which includes algae. We especially love the Sachajuan Hair Repair - an intense treatment for damaged and stressed hair designed to leave your strands frizz-free and super shiny.
