Want gloriously glowy skin? Dua Lipa has all the answers
It's giving minimal holiday makeup
If you're dreaming of warmer days and vacay vibes (we know we are), then you're ready for that minimalist, post-beach makeup aesthetic, right? Right!
Because TBH, there is nothing better than the core girlhood moment of all piling into the same bathroom to do a quick easy five minute face routine all while blaring the latest girly pop hits. So, you best bet when we heard that the gal on our speakers is totally on the same page with a minimal, glowy look, we were totally stoked.
The star in question — and we're pretty sure you've guessed by now — is Dua Lipa. Speaking on her editorial platform Service95, Lipa shared her best summer beauty essentials to take on holidays. Keen to see what non-negotiables Lipa is packing? Or the ones she'll be picking up as soon as she lands? We've got the list here...
Dua Lipa Holiday Beauty
Alright, so, we're counting spring as our 'training season' to get into the swing of 'danc(ing) the night away' and minimalist beauty routines. Because really, if you 'don't start now', when will you? Hilarious, we know.
Like most of us, Lipa is a total fan of how the warmer weather brings a more "natural summer glow" and that's all thanks to how "light and easy" her skin care and makeup routines become. Lipa's top tip? "Enhance it", with everything looking "effortlessly better"; basically it's all about the slight tweaks for making your skin look flawless. She's "all about dewy, bronzed skin and hair products that keep everything healthy in the sun". And even though it feels like she's been a redhead forever, it turns out this past summer was her first time needing a red hair haircare routine.
The first, and TBH the most important step in Lipa's routine is sun-protection. The star, like so many others is a huge fan on the (slightly harder to get in Australia) Eucerin Sun Face Oil Control Sun Gel-Cream Dry Touch SPF50+ ($35.75 at Beauty Bay). The light, oil-controlling formula is sensitive skin-friendly and makes for the perfect first step towards Lipa's sun safety routine.
Because minimal makeup innately shows off your skin, it's important to keep it hydrated and protected. Lipa turns to the antioxidant-packed iS Clinical Hydra-Cool Serum ($159.82 at Amazon Australia) for her skin care essential.
Like she said, she's "been very keen to avoid heat damage", so finding a lightweight strengthening, smoothing and protecting hair product was essential. She "always" has the Dizziak Oil Mist ($44 at Dizziak) on her to protect her strands.
When it comes to makeup, there's two summer essentials. The first is the Tom Ford Shade And Illuminate Contour Duo ($154 at Myer) that gives her that gorgeous bronzed glow. And the second should come as literally no surprise. Because not only does she not leave the house without it, she even featured the exact fave in her 'Training Season' music video. The product in question? A trusty lipstick of course. And not just any lippy. The YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Candy Glaze Lipstick in ‘Nude Pleasure’ ($70 at Sephora).
And there we've got her five summer essentials, that let's be real, will be floating around our beach bag all summer.

Naturally her love for style soon extended to beauty, and Emma landed firmly in the beauty and wellness world thanks to an internship-turned-role at local Australian fragrance brand Maison Blanche. One thing that remained consistent whether unpacking accessories or creating social content? Her commitment to an always-perfect manicure. Luckily, she’s since turned her talents to helping her readers achieve the same, writing about all things beauty and wellness. Emma is now a Content Producer for BEAUTYcrew, with her words and recommendations also appearing across Girlfriend and beautyheaven. Emma loves the process of diving deep into the world of testing (and writing) about everything from haircare to fragrance. When she’s not slathering her skin in something new, she’s going for an early morning stroll to catch a stunning sunrise (coffee in hand, of course), because life’s all about that wellness balance after all.
