ColourPop is releasing a Twilight makeup collection and we are not okay
Twihards, our time has finally come. ColourPop Cosmetics has answered all our prayers and is about to bless us with a Twilight-inspired makeup collection. And if you’re not already on the ColourPop bandwagon, where the hell have you been, loca?
The California-based brand has been creating affordable makeup for a decade now, and has become the poster child for iconic pop-culture makeup collabs – think Harry Potter, Disney and Sailor Moon. You’ve likely seen their colourful eyeshadow palettes that rival Morphe, viral colour-shifting Crème Gel Liner (US$9 at ColourPop) and Chrome Liquid Eyeshadow (US$12 at ColourPop) all over TikTok.
And now, after years of begging, Twilight fans have finally been heard. ColourPop teased the drop on Instagram on January 5, and fans were quick to call out the long-awaited collection in the comments.
The ColourPop x Twilight collection was later confirmed on January 8, with the brand posting the official teaser with the caption ‘Say it. Out loud’. The drop will be available to shop from January 11 via the ColourPop website, and whilst we’re still awaiting official confirmation, we’re expecting that international shipping will be available – Australia included.
What’s in the ColourPop Twilight collection?
The ColourPop x Twilight collection will launch with three products – a lip oil, highlighter and shimmering body oil. And yes, the highlighter and body oil are just as shimmery as Edward’s sunlit skin.
Lux Lip Oil
The Lux Lip Oil comes in three shades: ‘Team Edward’, a sparkly blue; ‘Bells’, a vampy red hue; and ‘Team Jacob’, a sheer back with subtle silver sparkles.
Super Shock Highlighter
Obviously a highlighter would be included in the collection. And the two shades, ‘Meadow’ (a duo-chrome lavender hue) and ‘Vampire Skin’ (a sparkly, icy white) deliver next-level shine. This highlighter makes a serious case for the return of 2016 highlighter…
‘Like Diamonds’ SOL Shimmering Dry Oil
Sure, ColourPop may have missed a golden opportunity to name this body oil ‘Skin Of A Killer’. But you best believe it’ll still deliver the same diamond-like sparkle of Edward’s skin, with all the hydrating, nourishing benefits of the brand’s cult-favourite SOL Body Oil (US$11.20 at ColourPop). We’ll definitely be adding a bottle (or 10) to our carts...
Graphix Ink Liner
Want to nail Jane's flawless smokey cat eye? This long-wearing, transfer-proof liner comes in three sparkly shades: 'Vampire', a metallic, vampy red; 'Coven', a sparkling, coal black hue; and 'Forever', a Forkes forest green.
Twilight x ColourPop Palette
Inspired by the blue-green filter of the Twilight film, this palette features 15 matte and metallic hues named after iconic characters and scenes in the movie. The rich greens, browns and blue hues are perfect for creating fierce smokey eyes and frosted makeup looks.
Not sure about you, but we are unconditionally and irrevocably in love with this launch.
