‘Cold brew hair’ is the prettiest colour trend for brunettes

Like it or not the weather is cooling down for winter. For all of winter's seasonal highs - cosy knits, hot chocolates and fireside gatherings - there are a few less pleasant side effects. However, your hair need not suffer. There's no better time to add some rich, warm tones to your hair colour. Enter cold brew hair, the latest colour trend to pop-up all over Instagram feeds. Inspired by an icy cold brew coffee, this popular hue is best described as an espresso-hued brown with golden highlights through the mid-lengths.

PopSugar first reported on this trend when the Instagram account @behindthechair_com shared a picture of one of New York-based hairstylist Kimberly Bonondona's client.

If you want to take the cold brew plunge? American-based celebrity-colourist recommends citing Bella Hadid or Penelope Cruz, two celebrities with hair colours similar to the trend. 

Gio Bargallo also warns InStyle, that warm-hued hair colours are the fastest to fade, so he recommends using an in-shower hair gloss to keep the shade fresh and vibrant.
