It takes about ten seconds of watching Selling Sunset to realise that this is a very well-groomed group of realtors – the ladies of The Oppenheim Group are all stunning and impeccably coiffed.
And yet, within the next ten seconds, you’ll probably realise that one woman in particular stands out in the beauty stakes even more than her glamorous co-workers; a pretty impressive feat considering the level of beauty she’s surrounded by.
But hey, that’s the magic of Christine Quinn, the style-icon-meets-real-estate-agent who rocks a red lip better (and more often) than anyone else we know. The only thing she takes more seriously than her tell-it-like-it-is attitude is her hair and makeup looks, and we appreciate it.
So, in our quest to emulate Quinn’s impeccable beauty game, we did a little digging to find out exactly which products she swears by. Here are all her favourite beauty buys, from scent and sunscreen to that candy apple lippy...
Christine Quinn’s skin care routine
“I use Vitamin C across the board; there’s two [products] specifically that I love – one is [the] Origins [brightening serum], I use it for the daytime because it’s a little more matte. Then I also do [the same style formula from] Pacifica; I like it because it has glycolic acid as well – I am a little sensitive so I’ve got to be careful, but this is more of a nighttime product for me because it just has a different consistency. [I also love to] put a sheet mask on,” she says, naming a GlamGlow moisturising option as her go-to.
Christine Quinn’s makeup routine
“I’m not one for foundation,” Quinn explains. “I don’t wear it [because] I think it’s too heavy – I don’t like it unless I’m filming or doing a photoshoot. [For my base], I try my best to conceal the areas that I need. [I love] the Clinique Even Better; I use my beauty blender and I blend out in the places that I like so it’s not so heavy,” she adds. Unfortunately for us, her specific concealer is only stocked in the States, but hey, here’s to being able to get our hands on it soon (did you hear that Coronavirus, we need this concealer).
“[After applying concealer], I’ll set it with a loose powder, then go in with my bronzer – contouring is not dead, I’m sorry – talk to the drags queen, talk to me, it is still alive and I love a good contour. I love Urban Decay, they have really great palettes – I go in with an eyeshadow colour actually and I’ll contour my nose to give myself a little nose job, contour my cheekbones, my jawline and then around my forehead.” The exact palette she’s using has since been discontinued (bummer, we know), but there are still plenty of great options to choose from (for eyeshadow or contouring purposes).
Christine Quinn’s red lipstick
“Honestly there are quite a few that I use, [all] different shades depending on if I want more burgundy, if I want a brick red or an orange red, I probably have about 32 shades of red lipstick,” Quinn confesses. “The one that I’m wearing [at the moment] is Yves Saint Laurent and the [colour is] shade 1.” BRB, ordering multiples.
Christine Quinn’s lip gloss
“The one thing I always keep in my purse is lip gloss, and [my favourite is from] NYX. I love all the colours and the Butter Gloss is really creamy and nice,” she says.
Christine Quinn’s signature scent
“A perfume that I’ve been loving recently is So Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier,” Quinn spills of her favourite fragrance. “I love strong, bold musk-y kinds of fragrances, and this one is super, super fabulous.”
Christine Quinn’s favourite sunscreen
“[My] number one [beauty rule] is no sun. I have never been a sun worshipper – I don’t lay in the sun and when I am in the sun I’m fully basked in sunscreen from head to toe. I’m [also] always wearing hats and sunglasses because my father had skin cancer multiple times and it’s something that just ages you and is really not good for you. One of my favourite sunscreen brands is a French company called La Roche-Posay.”
