Want to look like you’re ‘blushing from within’?
When it comes to blush placement hacks, we’ve heard it all at this point.
We traced blush in the shape of the letter C on our faces, sampled the W blush placement technique, and the blush under eyes hack had us looking crazy in front of our friends.
The next stop on our explorative journey into the world of blush? Well, it’s TikTok’s ‘blushing from within’ hack – of course.
So, how does it work?
Well, according to TikToker Glamzilla, the folks over at Rare Beauty taught her how to nail the look using the RARE BEAUTY Soft Pinch Liquid Blush ($34 at Sephora).
In the video, the content creator generously applied the liquid blush all over her cheeks and haphazardly blended the product in with her fingers.
Then comes the genius part.
Glamzilla applied her tinted moisturiser over the top of her vibrant cheeks to create a subdued glaze of makeup that looks like she’s ‘blushing from within’.
Naturally, the unusual makeup technique grabbed the attention of a few fellow TikTokers who tried their hand at the hack too, all with varying degrees of success.
The takeaway with this one? Stick to cream and liquid blush formulas placed squarely on the apples of your cheeks.
Whatever you do, do not venture into temple or forehead territory with this one.

Since then, her keen interest in fashion and beauty has landed her gigs as a Digital Content Producer and Beauty Editor with titles like Girlfriend, Refinery29, BEAUTYcrew and beautyheaven. She loves the way seemingly innocuous topics like skin care and style have the ability to put a smile on people’s faces or make them think about themselves a little differently. A big believer in self love and experimentation, Briar has made a point of becoming the Australian beauty industry’s unofficial guinea pig for unusual treatments and daring hair trends. When she’s not testing out the latest beauty launches, Briar is big on broadening her horizons, mostly in the form of food but she’s also partial to travelling to new destinations both near and far (and of course, allocating an extra bag to bring their best beauty offerings home with her).
