Blake Lively nailed the perfect Valentine’s Day hairstyle

We have come to the conclusion that there is in fact something we could love more than Blake Lively, and that is Blake Lively on Valentine’s Day.

The actress and mum-of-two hosted the L’Oréal Paris Colorista Launch Party, which also happened to be the coolest Girls Valentine’s Day party we have yet to see. What blew us away about the event, however, wasn’t the amazing décor or even Blake’s always-flawless style, but rather her commitment to the sentiment of the day, which she showcased in the form of an elaborate heart shaped hairdo.

Gorgeous and so on theme, right?

If you’re feeling game enough to recreate Blake’s stunning do, you will likely need an extra set of hands and A LOT of length in your locks (or access to some hair extensions). While we haven’t sourced the official how-to from her hairstylist, we’d recommend separating your hair as you would do for a standard half pony, and combing the front back off your face tightly before securing it with some bobby pins. Then separate the half-pony in half and twist each section down. When you’re about halfway down, wrap the two sections together to create a bun, pin into place, and cross the ends over and bring them up to create the humps of your heart, pinning into place as you go. Look, no one said it was easy to create the style, but if you have the time and patience, it’ll no doubt make a serious impact.
