Selena Gomez’s new hair may be the talk of the town but we think Hailee Steinfeld stole the show

One of the main reasons why we love the American Music Awards is because it provides enough beauty inspiration to get us through our busy Christmas calendar of social events.

And boy, this year did not disappoint. Selena Gomez debuted a dramatic new hair colour, Jenna Dewan Tatum rocked the eye look of our dreams and Hailee Steinfeld has shown us exactly how versatile nude makeup is.

By now there’s a good chance you’re already aware that Selena Gomez has traded in her signature chocolate brown locks for a platinum blonde ‘do. To ensure her new hair colour stole all the attention, the singer kept the rest of her look simple by opting for a natural eye look and touch of rosy lipstick.

Ciara

Ciara went for a sultry look this year, teaming the popular ‘wet hair’ ‘do with a nude lip and a metallic bronze and gold smoky eye.

Jenna Dewan Tatum

Jenna never fails to disappoint on the red carpet and this time was no different. The actress and dancer showed off a gorgeous shimmering eye look that we plan on replicating, stat.

Demi Lovato

We love Demi’s combination of super long locks and a sultry smoky eye at this year’s awards. Bonus points also go to the singer’s popping highlight, which was positively gleaming!

Hailee Steinfeld

There’s nothing better than a glamorous nude makeup look and Hailee Steinfeld proved just that. We love her decision to team it with an edgy, pushed-back hairstyle, which gave her overall look a modern twist.

Kelly Rowland

Kelly Rowland is another celeb that resorted to a classic makeup look at this year’s event. She paired a creamy nude lip with a gold smoky eye and long fluttery lashes.
