Between her sneaky trick for glowing skin to her makeup collaboration with Estée Lauder and her countless amazing red carpet beauty looks over the years, Victoria Beckham has proved again and again that she well and truly knows her beauty stuff. So when she recently posted a makeup tutorial on how to create the perfect sexy, smudgy, London eye makeup look that she loves for the red carpet, we were paying close attention.
She starts the video by explaining that the perfect base for her eye makeup look is a white shade, which she applies with her fingers all over the top of the lid. She follows the step by applying a grey shade of shadow first to her hand, before sweeping it under her waterline with a brush, “so I can really build up colour,” she explains.
Victoria’s top tip with this part of the eye look is to create a little bit of a dip under the centre of the bottom of the eye: “I think that opens the eye even more,” she says. She then repeats with the grey eyeshadow on the top lid, creating a subtle smudgy line.
Next, Victoria uses a maroon shade and dusts it along the crease with a fluffy eyeshadow brush to give “an intense look without closing up the eye.” Then she adds a matte eyeliner in both graphite and black underneath the eye before smudging it in. She completes the look with a generous slick of mascara.

While the products she uses, including the Estée Lauder Eye Palette in Blanc Noir Gris and Bordeaux, Estée Lauder Smudgy Matte Eyeliner in Graphite and Estée Lauder Eye Kajal in Black Saffron, are not yet available in Australia, when they do come out you’ll have to be quick – items from the collection are already sold out on Victoria Beckham’s website. To ensure you don’t miss out, we’ll endeavor to keep you updated.
