Zendaya did her own hair and makeup for the red carpet
And completely slayed
No surprise, Zendaya rocked up to the GQ Men Of The Year Awards looking AH-MAZING. But unlike her fellow red carpet attendees, Zendaya didn’t turn to pro makeup artists or hairstylists to get her killer beauty look.
She posted a series of jaw-dropping snaps of herself on Instagram, casually captioning the second post, “2/3 (fun fact: I did my own h&mu tonight, hence the lipgloss still in hand).”
Yep, she did that entire flawless makeup look herself. Oh, and the slicked-back wet-look hair? Yeah, she did that, too.
NO BIGGIE.
She contoured and highlighted her cheekbones to utter perfection (please teach us, Zendaya), and for her eyes she chose a statement purple smoky look, which was expertly blended over her upper and lower lids. She also opted for a pair of dramatic lashes, combined with a subtle inner corner highlight and black eyeliner on the waterline to accentuate and brighten her deep brown eyes.
For her lips, she chose a muted pink gloss, letting her statement eye makeup take centre stage. She makes it look so darn effortless!
And while we could be fooled into thinking this is a one-off situation (maybe her makeup artist pulled out last minute?), it turns out this isn’t the first time she’s worked her own magic on the makeup front. This is a thing she does on the reg and we didn’t even notice.
The star is no stranger to showing off her seriously impressive red carpet makeup skills on social media. Just scroll through her Instagram feed and you’ll find a whole heap of #beatbymuuaahh and #beatbymeeeee hashtags.
We’ll just be over here waiting for her makeup tutorials.
