The product

There’s nothing worse than when you notice a newly-formed pimple starting to make its way to the surface of your skin – especially if you’re prone to scarring.

Enter: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Blemish Stick with Manuka Honey. This dual-action spot treatment helps improve the appearance of acne scarring and utilises natural antibacterial agents, like 100 per cent Australian-grown tea tree oil, which targets blemishes and breakouts by drying them out, and manuka honey, which moisturises and conditions.

Our panel of Review Crew® members put this product to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Blemish Stick with Manuka Honey to a panel of teens and young adults aged between 13 and 25 who have skin that is prone to pimples, blemishes and acne scarring.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Blemish Stick with Manuka Honey.

How moisturising the manuka honey was: Reviewers loved the addition of manuka honey, which helped keep their skin moisturised despite the drying action of the spot treatment.

How effectively the treatment helped heal red, painful pimples: Our review team really liked how quickly the treatment worked to bring painful pimples that were sitting below the surface of the skin to a head.

How convenient the product was to use: Our Review Crew® members really loved how portable and compact the treatment was. They liked that they could keep it on hand at all times and start treating pimples as soon as they appeared.

Good to know: Some reviewers found the all-natural treatment took a few days to minimise pimples compared to a typical spot treatment, which may have been able to eradicate the pimple overnight.

The verdict

“I put the product on at night after my regular skin care routine and found that by morning the spot would be significantly reduced, or the redness had subsided. It doesn’t dry the skin out like some products do and the natural ingredients give me peace of mind that I’m not putting harsh chemicals on already damaged skin.”

“I definitely noticed a reduction in pimple size, and I do believe this product speeds up eliminating zits. It doesn't dry out my skin too which is good, and I loved the convenience of the doe foot applicator which made it very easy to apply directly to where you want it!”

“I found that the blemish stick reduced the swelling and redness of the pimple overnight. My pimples seemed flatter even after one use, and this product reduced the time a pimple was on my face. Also, this product was super convenient and easy to use, which made application simple and fast!”
