Brassiness? We don't know her thanks to these drops!

Our members called them a "total game-changer"

The product

There are few greater feelings in life than leaving the salon with the perfect shade of blonde. Yep, we'll say it, blondes have more fun. Well, that is of course while their colour is fresh and they're not on brassiness struggle street.

Because when the yellow-toned brassiness hits, absolutely no one is having a good time. And let's be real, most traditional purple shampoos leave your already stripped strands feeling drier than the Sahara. But thankfully there's a new system in town and it's a total game-changer.

Designed to be added into either your shampoo or conditioner, the Revlon Professional Restart Color Anti-Brassiness Purple Drops provide a completely customisable blonde-toning experience. Gentle on the scalp and designed to ensure your strands maintain their moisture levels, these drops are here to banish brassiness for good.

The formula leaves blonde, white and grey hair brightened, refreshed and incredibly vibrant. So, let's see what our members have to say about this new blonde bestie...

The panel

BEAUTYcrew sent the Revlon Professional Restart Color Anti-Brassiness Purple Drops to women aged 20 to 40 with blonde or silver strands in need of some brassiness toning.

The lowdown

The customisable aspect: Hands up if you've been victimised by purple shampoo in the past? As expected, most of our blondies have. It's just too easy to hit it a little too hard and end up with overly ashy, bordering on purple strands. But you've not got anything to worry about with this formula, because you get to choose how much (or how little) you want to mix in to leave your strands with the perfect tone for you.

How well it removed brassiness: Alright, you have got to take our REVIEWcrew members' word for how well these purple drops worked! Simply mixed into their shampoo or conditioner, they left their strands stripped of brassiness without stripping them of nourishment (as purple shampoos can do).

The brightening effects: Let's be real, you can definitely remove brassiness without actually leaving your strands looking refreshed and brightened. But there's no need to book in with the salon just yet. Because our members found that this easy-to-adjust serum not only banished brassiness but brightened as well.

I love the concept of the Revlon Professional Restart color anti-brassiness purple drops! I have used a lot of purple shampoos to rid my bleached hair of brassiness, and have always ended up diluting them with shampoo or conditioner as using them alone would leave my hair too silver or with random purple tints. I mixed this with the matching shampoo, as I find it easier to distribute it this way rather than with conditioner or a mask, but appreciate this is another way you can use the drops - excellent versatility! Being in control of how much purple you want to use was a game changer, and the results were perfect. My hair hasn’t been stripped of its bright blonde shade, but any hint of brassiness was gone. Highly recommend!

I received the Revlon Professional Restart Color Anti-Brassiness Purple Drops as part of Beauty Crew's Review Crew. I have very long thick hair, however the strands are thin so I am careful about which products to use which won't weigh my hair down. The purple drops is one of four steps - I found that these drops were very easy to mix with the Revlon Professional Restart Recovery Restorative Micellar Shampoo. After following the routine using all the products in this range, my hair did feel softer - not even needing a detangler to brush my hair. After styling my hair looks smooth and feels incredibly soft. As these are drops being added to the shampoo, I also felt that it did not leave my hair feeling dry like most purple shampoos do, so I was ecstatic. I also liked that I was able to control how much of the purple drops to use, which makes it more personalised for the look you are after. I only used a few drops the first time and it was enough to tone my hair to the right shade. I have used these mixed with shampoo every second wash, so I know this will last a very long time.

I love how customizable this product is. You simply add a few drops to your conditioner or styling product, making it easy to control the intensity. A little goes a long way, and after just a couple of uses, I noticed a significant reduction in the yellow tones in my hair. My blonde is now a much cooler, ashy tone, which is exactly what I wanted. The formula is lightweight, doesn’t leave any residue, and doesn’t dry out my hair like some purple shampoos or treatments do. It also doesn’t stain my hands or shower, which is a bonus! Plus, the drops have a nice, subtle fragrance that leaves my hair smelling fresh. In summary, these purple drops are super effective, easy to use, and give professional-looking results from home.
