This is the most unusual (and delicious) way to dye your hair
Now we’ve seen everything!
In the past year we have seen some down right crazy trends take over the beauty world, like the 100 layer challenges, or the secret rainbow hair dye, or the blogger that did her makeup with art supplies. So to round up the year, it would only be fair to share one of the whackiest (but also yummiest) we have seen so far. A salon in the United Arab Emirates, called Abed & Samer, is dying hair with our favourite chocolate spread, Nutella.
Dubai-based blogger Huda Kattan shared a video on her Instagram of the salon's unique dying process, which involves drizzling Nutella directly onto the hair, before layering it with condensed milk. To our complete shock, the result is a significantly darker shade.
The hairstylist responsible for this interesting technique told Metro UK that “Colour aside, Nutella is good for the hair as it makes it more shiny”.
So if you are tempted to try this unusual technique for yourself, there are a few things to consider: Be aware that as with most hair dying hacks, the lack of permanent dye means that the colour isn’t likely to last more than two washes, and more importantly, do we really want to waste Nutella by using it in our hair instead of eating it straight from the jar? We think not.
If you are planning on dying your hair, here are our must-read tips on how to use permanent colour to dye your hair at home.
