Everybody’s favourite no-frills skin care line, The Ordinary, is known for creating single-ingredient heroes that quickly become skin care shelfie must-haves.
And whether your holy grail is the potent niacinamide or the salicylic superstar, the affordable price point and efficacy often encourages constant repurchase.
The only problem is, with the brand having such huge popularity (both globally and in Australia), it’s not uncommon to find your favourite out of stock.
There was also a time when the future of The Ordinary was uncertain altogether, during which Deciem founder, Brandon Truaxe, tragically passed away. (For those playing at home, Deciem is the parent company of The Ordinary, Hylamide and NIOD.)
With the fear of the beloved brand potentially shutting down, a dedicated group of The Ordinary users created a Reddit thread to compile a list of dupes for their go-to products. That way, if the brand ever did cease production in the future, The Ordinary fans will know where to go and what to buy.
