We love how Fashion Week often showcases weird and wonderful hair and makeup looks that you can either admire from a distance or try for yourself. One particular fashion brand that caught our eye at New York Fashion Week and will likely fall into the former category was Desigual, who has seriously upped the ante with its unusual runway beauty look.
At its Spring/Summer 2017 show, Desigual made Snapchat lovers’ dreams comes true by turning some of the app’s best filters into makeup looks.
For the majority of models walking in the show, the beauty look was toned down and minimal, only featuring a light base of moisturiser (yes, the no makeup trend lives on for another season!). However, six models received a Snapchat treatment imitating the dog, golden butterfly, deer, bee, flower crown and tiger filters.
The looks were created by MAC makeup artists using paint, pigments and shimmering highlights to replicate the doe eyes and animal noses, while paper flowers and butterflies were cut and placed on the crown of two models’ heads.
If this is the standard being set for beauty looks at NYFW, we can’t wait to see what other designers bring to the runway.
