"I don't have Botox," Salma Hayek sets the record straight

Putting an end to any rumours about injectables, actress Salma Hayek has taken to Instagram to declare she’s never undergone anti-wrinkle injections. The star replied to a comment that alleged she’d undergone “too much Botox,” saying:

“I don’t have Botox. But thank you for the advice because I was thinking maybe it’s time.”

And, it’s not the first time Salma has divulged she’s considered having cosmetic enhancements.

For her role in the recently-premiered film Like A Boss, Salma wanted to take her transformation into her makeup mogul character, Claire Luna, to the next level.

“First, I wanted to do Botox and inject my lips, which I’ve never done,” she says in an interview with InStyle US.

Ultimately, Salma decided to opt against anti-wrinkle injections due to their irreversible nature and her tightly-packing filming schedule on other projects. She did toy with the idea of less-permanent fillers for her lips but didn’t go through with the procedure.

“My friend [dermatologist] Dr. [Maurice] Dray said, ‘I don’t know if you’re going to be happy because it’s going to hurt super bad.’ I said, ‘Well, let’s give it a try,’” Selma tells InStyle US.

“He put the first needle in my mouth, and I immediately said, ‘No! Forget it! I’m done!’”
