The blendable, full-coverage foundation that keeps oily skin in check
Here’s what our Review Crew® had to say about this oil-controlling foundation
The product
There is no better feeling than nailing the perfect base; but, by comparison, there is also no worse feeling than the inevitable 3pm oil slick that destroys said perfect base and leaves you looking like a greasy mess.
Rimmel London Lasting Matte Foundation gives you the best of both worlds.
The full-coverage foundation has a buildable and blendable, oil-controlling formula that keeps your base looking ace ALL DAY.
Our panel of Review Crew® testers put this foundation to the test.
The panel
Beauty Crew sent Rimmel London Lasting Matte Foundation to a panel of women aged between 16 and 39 with combination, oily and acne-prone skin, that wanted a foundation that would keep excess oil at bay and last all day.
The lowdown
Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about Rimmel London Lasting Matte Foundation.
The long-lasting formula: Review Crew® members were very impressed with the foundation’s staying power, stating that it held up throughout their busy work days.
The lightweight, mousse-like texture: Reviewers loved the lightweight formula, with many praising how blendable the foundation was; and unlike other matte foundations they’d tried, it didn’t feel heavy on the skin.
The natural-looking full-coverage finish: Our members really like the buildable formula that allowed them to achieve a full-coverage finish without looking cakey. Some members also noted that throughout the day the formula didn’t cake up or separate – their complexion continued to look natural and fresh from morning to evening.
Good to know: Some reviewers found the formula set pretty quickly, so we'd recommend applying the foundation area-by-area and blending immediately after applying.
